KIM'S REVIEWS

When I read the synopsis of His Light in the Dark, I had to read it. Childhood friends to lovers are some of my favorite reads.

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. I never really felt connected to the characters. I loved Mace, who was Mia's father, and his character. I even liked Cole and Mia. I just never really got drawn in. I love when a book pulls me in and that's all I can think about for days after I'm finished. This book just didn't meet my expectations.

I liked the book and the direction is was going, it just never really got there for me. I felt it could have been shortened some because it lost me for awhile. I caught myself skimming to get through. The first part of the book and the last part of the book I actually loved. It was the middle where I got distracted and started skimming.

I'm thinking maybe it was just me and my mindset at the time of reading this one. I would recommend the book. The author does a great job with her writing and the storyline was a good one. I just didn't connect with these characters like I wanted to. So that could be on me and not the author.

I give His Light in the Dark 3 Crazie Stars! ~Kim

Untamed by S.C. Stephens is the fourth book in the Thoughtless Series and is told in Griffin's POV.

I have been impressed with S.C. Stephens writing style from our very first introduction. She brought me my number one book boyfriend (Kellan freaking Kyle) and I will be forever grateful. But, with that being said, I'm not a huge fan of Griffin Hancock. I know this puts me in the minority, but I just never really connected with him.  I have had some laugh out loud moments, yes...especially The Hulk comment he made to Kellan and Kiera in Effortless. I still laugh out loud when I think about it, but I've never really felt a connection with him. Maybe it's my loyalty to Kellan, and because of his jealousy over Kellan, he just never truly won me over.

I really wasn't sure if I was going to make it through the first half of the book. I was livid with Griffin. I couldn't believe how selfish and egotistical he was. Yes, he was egotistical in the the previous books, but with those books being told in Kellan and Kiera's POV, he was cocky, funny and likable. Not so much the case for me in Untamed.

Griffin did redeem himself in the last part of the book.  I actually developed a liking for him. I would recommend this book to everyone. S.C. Stephens is an amazing talented author and she knows how to keep me coming back for more. You bring me Kellan  Kyle and I'm going to read it.

My rating for Untamed is not based on my disliking of the hero. Just because I'm not a true Griffin fan, doesn't mean that this book isn't worth reading...it is.

I give Untamed 3.5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Sugar Baby Beautiful is a stand-alone novel.  It's alluring, captivating, and sensual and is told in both Theo's and Felicity's POV. This book was so much more that I had anticipated!!

This is my first novel by author, J.J. McAvoy, so I really didn't know what to expect from her. I went in blind not knowing where she was gong to take me and all I can say is WOW!!  I suggest everyone go into this book blind in order to appreciate the journey.

I had seen men who knew they were attractive, but he looked like sex. Like he had just had it, he was going to have it again, and he had mastered it.

Theodore Darcy is a well respected film director, writer, producer and CEO of Darcy Entertainment. He is complete perfection in my book. Absolutely loved his character.

Theo becomes intrigued by a beautiful young lady  that he happens to stumble across during one of his brothers 'Sugar Parties' that was being held at his mansion. A party he wanted no part of.

She seduced me just by breathing.

Felicity Harper is a beautiful, talented, strong, resilient woman. She is independent and can easily hold her own. When her best friends and roommates, Cleo and Mark, coerced her into attending a Sugar Party, she didn't anticipate the change that was coming her way.

To Felicity, love is just a fantasy, and she will not  even consider having a relationship. She is all about sex with no strings attached.

Until...her heart gets involved.

“Don’t make me wait long, Ms. Harper. Patience is not one of my virtues.

“You’re one of a kind, Theodore Darcy.”

Theo and Felicity have many obstacles to overcome but can their love survive?

I'm going to stop here before I indulge too much. I feel this is one of those books that you have to experience all on your own. Too much information about the book will ruin your experience.  Take the chance and read this one.  I think it's one you will be glad you did. I also guarantee that you'll be thinking about it for days to come.

Sugar Baby Beautiful is a compelling, heart- wrenching story about unconditional love and the ability to overcome adversity.  I truly loved this book.  It was unique and fascinating. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 Stars is that I felt the ending was a little rushed...I just needed more.

I give Sugar Baby Beautiful 4 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

Tyrant by T.M. Frazier is the second book of a two-part series and is told in both King and Doe/Pup's POV. Just like book one, it's unique, raw, dark, abrasive and compelling all weaved into one. I was completely blown away by T.M. Frazier's  writing style and the way she lures you in and keeps you captivated from beginning to end. Brilliant is what she is. Freaking Brilliant!!

The first book, King, was amazing, but Tyrant was freaking epic. It was action packed and down right gritty! There are no words. I'm completely clueless on how to write this review without giving anything away, but I'm going to try because this book deserves to be praised.

I could not wait to get my hands on Tyrant after the mega cliffhanger we were left to endure after King. Let me just say that T.M. Frazier did not dissatisfy. She freaking nailed it!

Tyrant picks up right where King left off where we finally acquire information about Pup's true identity. As her past and memory start to haltingly unravel, we get a glimpse of the life she lead, and the friends and family she had entertained before she lost her memory.

"I sometimes wish I could just forget it all, but I can't. I won't. Because I don't want to ever want to forget you. And I welcome this pain because it reminds me that you were real."

King is out to get his Queen and no one will stand in his way...NO ONE!!!

"There was a wild part of me that flourished when I was with King. I liked who I was with him. I knew who I was with him. That part, the part that couldn't be controlled, belonged to King, and no matter where I was or what either of us were doing, no one could ever take that from me."

There are so many twists in this book that I was left shaking my head at what I just read. It's an edge of your seat kind of read and  I was not prepared for what transpired.  Let me just say that this is one you have to experience all on your own.

Tyrant was fast paced and believe me you will not want to put it down. I'm glad to see that some of the reviews that I have read have not left spoilers.  This is a book that should not contain any spoilers because this is a one of a kind read.  Just go in knowing you are in for a whirlwind of a ride.  Just ride it out and you will be so glad you did.  This is one of those epic reads that you will never forget.  I know for a fact that I will be re-reading this series again in the future.  I only have a few books that are re-reads and this one is definitely going on my list.

Tyrant is a story of revenge, redemption and love. Once again my emotions were all over the place between the plot twists and shocking reveals. I truly can't say enough about this author and this series.  All I can say is READ IT!!!

I'm so excited to get Bear's story.  My heart is breaking for him and I can not wait to get to know Bear better. His story will be another epic read. I just know it. I salute you, T.M. Frazier. You nailed it again!!

I give Tyrant 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Wow!! Refreshing, exhilarating and highly addictive...Yes, that's what Harper Sloan's books are.

Bleeding Love is the second installment in the Hope Town Series and a spin-off from the Corps Security Series. I'm feeling another great series coming our way!!

Liam Beckett is mature, understanding, inviting, sensual, tactile and sexy as hell, but how could he not be, he's Dee and Beck's son from the Corps Security Series...Swoon!! He is the reason to read this book.  He is the epitome of what every man should be.  He is perfect, but he's so much more!!

Megan is a widowed, single mom, who also happens to be an author. Her world was turned upside down when she lost the man she has loved for as long as she can remember. Jack died while serving in the military. Her daughter, Molly, is her world, and her life these days only consists of raising her daughter and trying to make ends meet.

Ah!! Molly will steal your heart from the very first introduction.  Everyone who comes into contact with this sweet little girl her falls head over heels in love with her, including Liam, Axel, Izzy, Dani, Cohen, Nate, Beck and Dee. I loved seeing these characters interact with Molly, especially Axel. :)

“A love worth having, is worth fighting for.”

Megan has loved, and she has lost love, leaving her emotionally dead. Due to the fear of losing love again, she keeps herself guarded not allowing anyone close enough to break through her armor. Until Liam starts dwindling away her protective covering piece by piece.

“You just have to take my hand and let me take care of your heart.”

Will Megan open up her heart and let her guard down?  Will she be open to the chance to love again?

My hold never wavers as I make true to my promise and take every single pain filled tear, every ghost of her past that comes shaking from the force of her cries, and I pull that pain deep inside and lock it tight so that it can never hurt her again.”

Bleeding Love is a beautiful compelling story. It's a story about trust and finding the strength to overcome the fear of loving again. Overall, I loved this book. The supporting characters were fantastic. I loved the humor and support they brought to the story.  I definitely recommend reading this book...this series.

I give Bleeding Love 4 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

Title: Crashed
Series: 1st Book in Series
Author: Sherilee Gray
Release Date: July 14, 2015
My Rating: 3 Stars

Crashed by Sherilee Gray is the first installment in the Axel Alley Vipers series. It's a quick fast read that I read in one sitting.

This book was okay for me. I felt somewhat connected to the characters but not enough to make me swoon. I really liked the characters but something was missing. I think this story had plenty of potential, it was just lacking in the depth department. But with that said, I couldn't put it down until the last word was read.

I love friends to lover romances and I was so excited about this one.  After reading the blurb, I had huge expectations, when in fact, I was hoping to fall in love with this story...but I didn't. I'm also conflicted on how to rate this book because even though I didn't love it, I did love the premise of the story. And because I didn't love it, doesn't mean it's not a great read for someone else. It just wasn't for me at this time.

Title: The Hurricane
Series: 1st Book in Series
Author: R.J. Prescott
Release Date: February 1o, 2015
My Rating: 4.5 Stars
POV: Heroine

R.J. Prescott's debut...KNOCKOUT!!!

The Hurricane is a story about trust, love, family and friendship. It was refreshing, uplifting and invigorating, that once I started reading, I did not want to put it down. I was not expecting to love this book like I did...totally swept away.

Emily McCarthy(aka Sunshine) is broken and living in fear from her deplorable past.  She's working full time while attending college and barely making it. She's so strong and determined not to give up until she's made a better life for herself.  She wants to stay secluded and just get through college...

Until she comes face to face with the hottest guy she's ever seen...

Cormac "Con" "The Hurricane" O'Connell is an ambitious fighter who is on the rise in the boxing world. He's a  protective, tatted, sexy, carnal, alpha male who will make you swoon.  He had me at the prologue!!

Emily and Con started out as friends, and we as readers get to follow them along on their journey to fall in love.

Con was so protective of Emily and his love for her was so natural for him...you could just feel it every time he looked at her.

There was no denying the chemistry amongst them. It was like you were right there watching it unfold.

That's what I absolutely loved and craved about their story. Yes, the attraction was instant but their love blossomed exactly as it should have...

"If you need time, then I’ll give you time.

If you need friendship, then I’ll give you friendship.

But you’re mine, and when the time is right, when you’re ready, I’m coming for you."

The Hurricane is an inspirational story of survival and healing. The secondary characters were perfect. R.J. Prescott does an amazing job with her debut novel.  I can't wait to read more from this author.

I give The Hurricane 4.5 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

Title: Trouble on Tap
Series: Series
Author: Avery Flynn
Release Date: July 14, 2015
My Rating: 3 Stars
POV: Dual

Trouble on Tap is my very first novel by Avery Flynn, and as a result, making it my first book in the Sweet Salvation Brewery Series.

Anyone who knows me, knows that second chance love novels are books that I desire intensely. So when I came across Trouble on Tap, I had to have it.

Trouble on Tap focuses on Olivia Sweet and Mateo Garcia. Olivia is a high fashion model and is the  last of the Sweet triplets...Mateo is  the sexy Marine and Olivia's long time hookup, who she happens to have deep feelings for. Mateo is not looking for a relationship, although he cares for Olivia.  Olivia slips up and lets Mateo know that once he returns from his deployment in Afghanistan, that she would like to pursue a relationship with him...but Mateo turns her down.

Fast forward three years...

Olivia Sweet is now broke, homeless and jobless. Her ex-boyfriend depleted her bank account and sold naked pictures of her to some revenge porn site. Therefore, leaving her with a doomed career and no choice but to return to her hometown of Salvation, Virginia.

Mateo Garcia, sexy ex-marine, has returned from his last military deployment a changed man.  Scars on the left side of his gorgeous face from a road side bomb has left the now police chief broken...and with a slight chip on his shoulder.

Forced to work together to organize a fundraiser for the shatteringVeteran's Center, Mateo and Olivia can't deny their attraction. Their chemistry is indisputable, but Mateo can't get past the fact that he's not the man she deserves.

Not everyone is happy about wild Olivia Sweet being back in Salvation.  Will she remain in her hometown that has never wanted her or will she flee leaving the man who holds her heart and never look back?

Trouble on Tap started off great for me but something happened along the way that I became disinterested. I lost my connection with the characters, which became frustrating, but that could possibly be because I haven't read the first two books in this series. Had I realized that before diving in, I would have read the first two books first. With that said, this book is a satisfactory read and fans of this series should fully enjoy.

This book is definitely worth the read...

Title: Ruin & Rule
Series: Series
Author: Pepper Winters
Release Date: July 7, 2015
My Rating:  4.5 Stars
POV: Dual(Mostly Cleo)

Ruin & Rule is a story of betrayal, retribution and everlasting love. A second chance love story. I was totally consumed by this book and couldn't wait to see where Pepper Winters would take us, and she delivered once again, another colossal read.

Arthur "Kill" Killian is the president of the motorcycle club, Pure Corruption.  He's  a self-made billionaire due to his passion and intellect of numbers and equations. He's  powerful, dangerous, mysterious and sensual. He's an enigma that I wanted to solve.

Cleo Price (Buttercup, Forgetful Girl, aka Sarah Jones)  is strong, decisive, resilient, and docile.  She has amnesia with no recollection of who she is or where she comes from, but she's determined to piece together the puzzle of her past life piece by piece.

Ruin & Rule starts off with Cleo waking up surrounded by a gang of motorcycle men and five other captured women. She's blindfolded with no memory and trying to figure out why she is in the predicament she is in. She knows without a doubt that her situation is detrimental.

"I stared up, up into his bright eyes, understanding something I shouldn't understand. This was him. My nightmare."

"Kill" in the midst of a trade gone wrong, finds himself face to face with a ghost from his past. Or is she?? Her long red hair and green eyes paralyzes him. He can't believe what is standing before him and once the spell is broken, he becomes enraged.

Everything inside me reeked with the need to reap vengeance. It was all I lived, all I ate, all I breathed. Until her. Until the imposter with green eyes. ~Kill

Cleo is mesmerized by her kidnapper as well, and that feeling of familiarity is so vigorous that she becomes hypnotized by him and his intimate green eyes. It's as if she can see deep down into his soul. The connection to this stranger triggers a memory giving us our initial glimpse into their past.

"My life-past, present, and future--lost all purpose the second I stared into his soul."

This is an epic story about lost love and revenge. The only thing keeping Killian from remaining stagnant was his determination to make those who have wronged him pay.  He set out to seek vengeance and nothing or no one was going to stop him until the last one that wronged him was six feet under.

Cleo and Killian are complex characters with a history of irrefutable love. And with each chapter, Pepper gives us snippets of Killian and Cleo's past along with flashbacks, allowing us glimpses into their backstory. Take the journey right along with them and experience their undeniable chemistry and heart-wrenching story. It's a journey you will want to take.

I love Pepper's writing style and how effortlessly the story flows.  She reels you in and leaves you hanging until the very last word. She gives you dark, she gives you angst, and she gives you a love story that will capture your heart.

Ruin & Rule is the first book in the Pure Corruption Series.

I give Ruin & Rule 4.5 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

Title: Fighting to Breathe
Series: Standalone
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds
Release Date: July 6, 2015
My Rating: 4 Stars
POV: Dual

Fighting to Breathe is a beautifully written second chance love romance. It's a compelling story about loss, healing and forgiveness. I devoured this book in a few hours. It's one of those books that once you start reading, you can't put it down.

Austin Wolfe and Lea Lamb are childhood sweethearts with plans of marriage after they graduate high school. They have their life planned out until tragedy strikes and Lea packs up and leaves town without any explanation to Austin. Leaving him devastated.

When tragedy strikes again fifteen years later, Lea is forced to come home and deal with her mother's illness and help take care of her during her final days. She's not prepared when she comes face to face with the man she never stopped loving, the man she regrets leaving, and the man that she destroyed.

"I hate you, Lea."

"Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours."

Austin is one of those characters that I hunger for. He's sexy, he's bossy, and with a protective caring side that I crave when I'm reading. When he loves, he loves hard. No matter how hurt and angry he is at Lea, he is still there for her, caring for her, and loving her. I love Lea's character as well. She's strong, resilient, and a little feisty. You mix the two together and you have perfection.

The beauty of this story is that they never stopped loving one another. After all that time, they never once fell out of love. I could feel their love and their connection in every single word I read.

This book made me cry, laugh and cry again.  Such a touching sweet sweet story. It's a story you have to experience on your own. It will tear you apart right along with the them, but it will put you right back together again. I definitely recommend Fighting to Breathe. It was a refreshing read that I was desperately needing.

Title: Ricochet
Series: Standalone
Author: Keri Lake
Release Date: July 9, 2015
My Rating: 4.5 Stars
POV: Multiple

Ricochet is dark, twisted, and is not for the faint of heart. This is my first book by Keri Lake, and without a doubt, it won't be my last. Her writing is compelling and vigorous and I was enamored  from start to finish.

Three years ago, I had everything.

A beautiful wife.

A son.

A reason for living.

UNTIL...his wife and young son were brutally murdered by a Detroit gang, that was massed together by Michael Culling, the mayor of Detroit.

Nick Ryder has become a fearless, masked vigilante, who is tormented by his wife and son's murders. He was supposed to have died right along with them...he still wishes he had. Unable to cope with the memories of that horrific night, he is out for revenge and is prepared to raise havoc upon the one's responsible. The last words he whispered to his dying wife...

"Every one of them will die-painfully and mercilessly."

"The promise fueled my will to survive."

Nick's driving force for revenge is none other than Michael Culling's wife, Aubree.

"A man who'd kill for the women he is clearly obsessed with. That's the real pain."

Aubree Culling (aka Pistol Lips) is a strong, resilient, young woman who has the misfortune of being married to the psychotic mayor of Detroit, Michael Culling.

To the world they are the perfect couple, but behind closed doors, Aubree is living with a sociopathic monster. The last five years that she's had to endure with this man have been gruesome. Her only hope is to someday escape the nightmare that she lives daily.

Escape.

If I were to succeed, I'd be hunted.

If I failed, I'd be killed.

Nick kidnaps Aubree during a masquerade charity ball that was being held in honor or her, as well as a celebration of the opening of a new cancer center.

Not initially, but after some time, something shifts, and the chemistry that has sparked between them is undeniable, but neither one wants to admit it.

Nick finally realizes that Aubree isn't anything like her maniac husband...that she is a 'victim' too...and that's when the connection is made.

"Not a monster. Not some Stepford bitch. A victim."

"There's sweetness to your poison, Aubree - as intoxicating and beautiful as it's deadly."

"I'd kill for you."

To divulge anything else would take away your experience from Nick and Aubree's story. A story that is merciless, barbarous, and callous.  It's a story about revenge, but also about healing, love, and second chances. It's a dark romance with some hair-raising scenes that may make the fainthearted squeamish. If you love dark, twisted reads with a fearsome hero and remarkable heroine, I definitely recommend reading Ricochet.

I give Ricochet 4.5 Crazie Stars ~Kim

What girl doesn't love a rock star?

Olivia Cunning's writing style is impeccable and she writes some of the best "rocker" books out there. Her characters are portrayed exactly how I envisioned a rock star's life to be.

Insider is the first book in the Exodus Series and is loaded with sexy, hot rock stars! It's the story of Logan and Toni, with a glimpse of Dare, Max, Steve, and Reagan. And even though Insider is centered around Logan and Toni, the other band members play key roles in the story. And I have to say, I.CAN.NOT.WAIT. for Dare's story. I love them all but Dare is my fav!!!

My Dare!!

Logan Schmidt is the sexy bass guitarist in Exodus End. He's so carefree and just seems to love life. His jovial humor and good spirit is what makes your heart melt. But, one of his downfalls is that he jumps to conclusions and overreacts before getting the facts...therefore, causing him and others around him some serious grief.

Toni Nichols is pristine, righteous, and naive.  Since the age of fifteen she has put her dreams on hold in order to raise her younger sister. But now, she's been privileged with the opportunity to travel with the members of Exodus End, where she will be creating a revolutionary interactive biography about the band.  She gets up close and personal with all four band members as well as Reagan, who has joined them for a few shows, due to Max having a wrist injury.

The moment Logan sees Toni, he is smitten by her. She's awkward, shy, and obviously 'star struck' by all the band members...making Toni all the more attractive to Logan. At first, he doesn't really know what to think of being drawn to her, him being a ladies man and all. But the more he is around her, the more he wants to get to know her.

Logan and Toni's story progresses rapidly, but it feels right because of their situation...being trapped on a bus with four hot rockers would do that.

Their chemistry is obvious to everyone around them. Sparks fly and they both superficially play it off. But, mentally they know that what they're experiencing is more than just sexual attraction.

But can Toni live in Logan's world? Will his lifestyle be too much for her?  And can you truly trust someone who knows your darkest secrets?

Logan and Toni's journey is bumpy at times, but not as bumpy as I would have preferred. I crave angst, and with this being a rock star book, I was banking on it.  But overall I did love Insider.

Olivia Cunning is talented and her previous books have proven that.  She's top notch.  She's the queen of rock star romance and she gave us a new rock band to fall in love with...and I love every single one of them.  I definitely recommend starting this series and I look forward for what's to come.  Like I said earlier, she gives us some background story on the rest of the band and I can guarantee that each book is going to be epic!!!

I give Insider 4 Crazie Stars ~Kim

Beneath These Chains was innovative, engaging and suspenseful, and is the third book in the Beneath Series by Meghan March, and can be read as a stand-alone. Told from dual POV's.

Lord, who happens to be one sexy alpha male, is the hero in this book. He is the owner of an upscale pawn shop, Chains, which resides on the rough side of town in New Orleans.

We were first introduced to Lord in Beneath This Ink. He is Con's older tatted up brother. Lord was raised on the streets and has worked hard for where he's at today, so when he discovers that an employee is stealing from him, he doesn't waste anytime firing her.  Then enters a hot, fiery, red head demanding a job.

"She’s the most tempting thing I’ve ever seen, and I’ll be damned if I can make her leave."

Elle, who we also met in Beneath This Ink, is Vanessa's rich best friend. She is brazen, bold, feisty, and independent. I loved her as a heroine. She has an agenda and nothing or no one is going to stop her from getting what she wants. Not even the tatted up hot, sexy male, Lord.

"Lord was strong, but not overpowering. He'd lead, but not force. He was the kind of man I hadn't even known existed, and the one I couldn't imagine not having."

"Surprised a guy like you wants to be taken instead of doing the taking."

"Sweet thing, you took me from day one."

"There, in his arms, the rest of my shattered pieces melded together into something stronger than before they'd been broken."

I truly enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful, compelling, and enticing, with a zest of comicality. Even though I felt like the book was missing something, I was still invested in Lord and Elle's story.  Their chemistry, right along with the author's writing style, kept me interested. I would definitely recommend this book.

Beneath These Scars will be the 4th book in the Beneath Series and will be Lucas Titan's story.  I'm hoping the author will do a 5th book. I would love to know more about Hennessy.

I give Beneath These Chains 4 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

King, by T. M. Frazier, is the first book of a two-part series.  It's unique, dark, raw and sensual and is told in both King and Doe's POV.

This is my first book by T. M. Frazier and it won't be my last. I was absolutely impressed with her writing style and her imagination. She keeps you engrossed by offering you characters that are complicated as well as bewitching. I positively can't wait for Tyrant, book #2.

"They call me King."

Brantley King is an infamous career criminal and tattoo artist, recently released from a maximum security prison where he served a three year sentence. Growing up with an alcoholic mother and living life on the edge, consequently forced King into the dark world that he now resides.

King, and his partner in crime, Preppy, have been best friends since elementary school.  King took up for Preppy one afternoon while being bullied and have been inseparable ever since.  They started their own business from rock bottom and are now well respected in their criminal world.

Preppy(oh how I love him) throws King a welcoming home party, but King trying to adjust to life outside of prison, is NOT in the partying mood.  He engrosses himself by doing what he loves...inking tattoos. King is feeling out of  sorts until he comes face to face with a pair of blue eyes.

Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.

Doe is homeless with no recollection of her past or where she comes from. Her past is a mystery. She's been living on the streets for the past few months desperate for food and shelter. She befriends a prostitute/drug addict who tries to coerce her into believing that the only way to survive on the streets is to sell her body.

"I am desperate and desperate people don't have the luxury of options."

Now at her lowest, Doe finds herself at King's party. This is where we are introduced to Bear(love him), King and Preppy's good friend, who also happens to be the V.P. of the Beach Bastards MC.  King and Preppy have been friends with Bear since he was fifteen years old and has tried for years to get King and Preppy to join the MC with no luck.  Bear is the first to meet Doe, and as a welcome home present he sends her up to King's room. Little did they know that this introduction was about to change King's and Doe's lives forever.

"I found myself again in the haunted eyes of a girl who was just as lost as I was. Or maybe, we didn't find each other at all. Maybe, we just decided to be lost together."

King takes Doe under his protection and the way he is feeling toward her is confusing and complex. He's possessive and likes control, and his battle between wanting to possess her or to let her go is taking a toll on him. She is the light in his darkness and his walls are starting to crumble.

"If you took the scary out of the equation, King was drop dead gorgeous. His eyes were so dark green they almost looked black. His lips were full and slightly pink. He was the most terrifyingly beautiful thing I'd ever laid eyes on."

I love the changes in King and Doe that we witness throughout the book.  Their chemistry is undeniable. Even though the attraction was immediate on both sides, I love how the author progressed at a steady pace and that there wasn't an instant love. Instant attraction...YES!!

"Stop being alive, and start living.”

"Why did you come back to me?"

"Because You're Mine."

Between the huge plot twists and shocking reveals, my emotions were all over the place. I did not put this book down until I was finished.  I loved the complexity of the characters as well as the simplicity. I fell in love with the secondary characters, Preppy and Bear. I would love to know more about Bear. Hopefully, we will get to know more about him in Tyrant...or maybe he'll get a book of his own. I sure hope so.

If you are a fan of dark romance and sexy alpha males, then I recommend you read King now. T.M. Frazier has a talent that is indisputable and I look forward to reading many more from her. I don't want to give too much away so I'm going to stop here. This is one of those books that you need to experience all on your own.

I give King 4.5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Shattered by You is the third book in the Tear Asunder Series and is Crisis and Haven's story. I am utterly blown away by this author. She has a way of making each book unique and with such depth that keeps you glued to your kindle.

Crisis and Haven's story is very emotional. The turmoil that Haven had endured in her short life and up until she was saved by Deck and his men, was absolutely horrific.  Their story is so compelling. It's a story of courage, love, and strength and I loved every minute of it.

Haven is Ream's twin sister, who unfortunately was dealt a tough hand in life. The gruesome past that she endured in the hands of monsters is quite disturbing.  The strength and courage that she portrays every single day is remarkable...even with the triggers that take her back in time...back to that god forsaking place where she couldn't fight the demons.

"Because even though I escaped years of abuse, it didn't mean I was free."

Crisis is the sexy bass guitarist in Tear Asunder. He is witty, flirty, cocky, and loves lots of attention... especially from the ladies.  But since meeting Haven, Crisis has seemed to have given up his man-whoring ways.

Haven has an episode where flashbacks from her past become so overwhelming that she finally breaks. Crisis is there to catch her and help pick up the shattered pieces. Little by little she starts to allow him in without even realizing. He is so carefree and genuinely a loving caring soul, that I honestly fell in love with him as Haven did.  I mean how could you not?

"Crisis was like breathing in fresh air. The beauty of him was that there were no lies. No mask. He said what everyone else was too polite or afraid to say."

The romance aspect of this book is prevalent throughout, but with slow escalation. It's not rushed and the timing is right on. We get to follow along on the journey with Crisis and Haven as they  fall in love. Crisis is always there to pick up the pieces...one by one. One thing for sure is that he was there for every step of the way.

I loved everything about this book and this series. I wasn't sure what to expect with Crisis and Haven's story, but it was everything I could have hoped for. I have enjoyed all three books so far from this series and I.CAN.NOT.WAIT. for Kite's story.  We really get a taste of Kite in Shattered by You, and let me just say, the small pieces of Kite's life that we get a glimpse of have me remarkably excited for book 4.

Shattered by You is a story about "surviving the pieces. It's about the strength found within the damaged. It's about love. Love found despite the jagged, tainted edges of who Haven had become."

I definitely recommend this book...this entire series.  Exceptionally written.  I love this author and look forward to reading more from her.

I give SHATTERED BY YOU 5 CRAZIE STARS!!! ~Kim

Torn From You was recommended to me by a friend, and once I read the blurb, I was completely sold.  It's dark, twisted, agonizing, and all-consuming.  From start to finish, I was detained by Nashoda Rose.

Torn From You picks up right where With You (novella) leaves off.  With You gives us Sculpt and Emily's background. So I highly recommend reading the novella first. This is where we first meet Emily and Sculpt and really get to know them...or do we?

Ah, Sculpt.  Sculpt (Logan) is an underground fighter and a hot/sexy tattooed rocker, who happens to be the lead singer in the upcoming band, Tear Asunder. Enticing. Delectable. Distinctive. Dominant.

Emily ( Eme, Mouse) is sweet, caring, strong and with personality. I really liked her character. She was a little insecure in the beginning, but being attacked by a man after work would cause insecurity for anyone, which is why she reached out to Sculpt for help.

Sculpt teaches Emily self defense so she can take charge of her life and feel like she can protect herself if the need should arise. Sparks fly between these two a long the way and their love is undeniable...or is it?

What I liked most about Emily was that she wouldn't back down. No matter what she faced, she fought with everything in her. Emily also had a very special talent.  She loved and trained horses... and she was soon to be known as 'the girl who speaks to horses.'

The prologue is candied and romantic where we get the delightful story of Logan and Emily, which also brings us to the out of nowhere dramatic ending of With You!  The story takes a huge shift spiraling into a dark and gritty world of violence.

I. DID. NOT. SEE. THIS. COMING.

Kidnapped.

Starved.

Beaten.

I was alone and fighting to survive. When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.

I was wrong.

Emily is thrown into a dark world of inconceivable acts upon women.  A sex slave industry where nothing is prohibited. Women are tortured, humiliated, starved, abused and thrown around like rag dolls. Emily is fighting to survive.

Emily's hopes come crashing down when she discovers that the man she had fallen in love with, and the man she is hoping to rescue her is there...but is not there to save her.

"I wanted him to carry me away...and then...then I wanted to kill him."

"I'm scared."

"You should be."

"You will fear me, Emily. And if you don't…I will make you."

The first half of Torn From You is twisted, dark and intense. The second half is totally different, but at the same time, still intense and gratifying. This is where Emily is trying to get her life back on track.  She's focusing on what she loves...saving and training abused horses.

Two years have now passed and Logan has  returned. He wants a second chance with Emily. He loves her and he wants to try and rebuild what they had. Will Emily be able to allow Logan back into her life?

"I can't lose you again. I have to do whatever it takes to win you back."

"You wrecked me. I was scared of you. I...I still am."

I loved the second half of the book just as much as the first. Watching Logan and Emily trying to repair what had been lost between them was almost as excruciating as Emily's kidnapping and what happened after. But I loved every second of it.

This book was a surprise to me.  I was not expecting it to have everything that I love in a a book. If you love dark romance books with twists and turns, then I recommend you read this one.  It will take you on one heck of a ride. I promise you that.

I am now a huge fan of Nashoda Rose and I can't wait to read more from this author.

I give Torn From You 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Danielle Pearl's Normal is captivating, spellbinding and heart-rending all rolled into one. It's a delicate written novel that deals with issues of abuse. It's dark, abrasive and intense, so be aware that this book does contain violence and may not be suitable for everyone.

Normal is also a story of  suspense, love and hope and is revealed through Aurora's (Rory) POV. The story takes place in the  present with flashbacks from the past.  It was a little irksome in the beginning, but then I was grateful for the flashbacks, because they made us aware and gave us an understanding of Rory's frame of mind and why she is so despondent and dispirited.

Aurora Pine has moved from a small town in Florida to a new larger town in the state of New York to get a fresh start. She will attend a new high school right in the middle of her senior year where she is hoping to just blend in. But little did she know that she would capture the eye of the hot football star and most sought-after man on campus...Sam Caplan. "Cap"

Sam is complete perfection. He's sexy, patient, loyal, loving, affectionate and kind...and Rory takes notice.  Her intentions are not to make friends, but to stay well under the radar...but now it's too late.  Their connection is undeniable, and as bad as Rory wants to fight it, their chemistry is too magnetic.

Sam and Rory start out as friends. Neither one are looking for a relationship and they both share painful pasts.  Rory has triggers originating back from one year ago where she went through an abusive relationship with her then boyfriend, Robin, the town hero and the Mayor's son.

For some reason, Sam is able to connect with Rory like no one else ever has...except for maybe her childhood friend, Cam, that she loved and adored.  This connection is calming for her and is a stepping stone for Rory and Sam's friendship, which in turn, jump starts the healing process for Rory.  For the first time in over a year, she is actually starting to feel some normalcy.  Thanks to her good friend, Sam.

"I got you, Pine."

This newfound friendship and connection with Sam has allowed Rory to open up her heart and finally FEEL. She's feeling emotions that she has never experienced before with anyone. She has fallen and fallen hard.

"I'm in love with Sam, and somehow, in the short time I’ve known him, he has become the center of my universe-my anchor to it. I’m no longer just surviving, as he said, I’m living."

But what happens when Rory's past comes back to the present and threatens her? Will she fight back or will she cave and give in to her past demons?

This novel truly did captivate me.  I just happened to discover this book and I'm so impressed with this author. She had me from start to finish.  Yes, the book was long, but I see now that it was necessary in order to experience Sam and Rory's heartbreaking and uplifting story. There was no insta-love and we get to follow right along with them on their roller coaster ride of life. We get to travel back in time, and relive right along with Rory, her horrific past and her struggle to find her NORMAL.

It's practically impossible for me to continue reviewing this book without giving key parts away.  I definitely recommend NORMAL and I do believe that every teenage girl should read this emotional heart-wrenching story.  It's an epiphany for abusive relationships.

I give NORMAL 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Fear You is the second book in the Broken Love Series by Author B.B. Reid and the conclusion to Keiran and Lake's frivolous love affair. Book two gives us more understanding of Kerian's thinking and why he is the way he is. I love that we get dual POV...I love being in Keiran's head.  We get more regarding his past, his past with Lily, and why he treated Lake the way he did.

Fear You picks up pretty much where book one left off. We follow Keiran and Lake through their final year of high school, where Lake is still trying to figure out Keiran and trying to fight her feelings for him. Keiran is torn between harassing Lake and protecting her. His obsession and addiction to her outweighs his need to stay away.  He craves the domination over her because of his possessiveness toward her.

"I was as much her sexual prisoner as she was mine. Those would be the times I took her the hardest and unleashed my cruelty on her."

"When Keiran came back into my life he came with a vengeance."

Lake finally found courage and has a backbone in Fear You.  She is no longer afraid of her tormentor. She wants answers and she's not afraid to demand them.  She may not get all  the answers, but that doesn't mean she stops demanding them.  She stands up for herself and fights back...and that I absolutely loved.

There was a particular time in Fear You that I wanted to smack Lake, though.  I was so mad at her.  I think because we did have Keiran's POV, and with that, giving me a better understanding of his feelings and what his intentions were, I wanted to strangle her. I mean, I wanted to ring her neck...I was so frustrated.  But in her defense, she was doing the right thing for what was happening around her.  I know I'm probably confusing you, but the way it "looked" to her, she was in the right doing what she did.  But, she was also out for revenge.

"You don't want to hear the truth. You want the fairytale. I want to ruin you."

Getting to know the man behind the mask of Keiran Masters, made me love him even more.  I felt so guilty wanting more of Keiran.  His actions were horrific at times and I was fighting within myself to keep reading. It felt so wrong but it felt so right too.  I was struggling and conflicted with my emotions.  I wanted to whip his ass and tell him to get over himself but then I wanted to hug his neck and kiss his face off.  It was a roller coaster ride with my emotions.  Up and down...up and down.

I loved the banter between Keiran and Lake.  It made me crave more.  My stomach was in knots and I was nervous most of the time, but that's what I crave and love the most about books. Bring on the angst...my favorite kind of reads.

This series has a story to tell and it's not rushed...it's not drug out...it's perfection.  But, I must say, the first part of this book was a teeny tad slow for me, but I think that was just me. I was on such a high from book one that I was so ready... adrenaline was pumping and my heart was beating a mile a minute...

Book one will leave you with many questions but thank goodness that book two is out. Your questions will be answered in book two. ;)

It's really hard for me to write a review for Fear You and Fear Me without giving away spoilers and ruining this series for you.  All I can say, is read both of these books.  If you love dark reads an angst, then I definitely recommend reading both. This series is one that you will not forget. It's one of those that will linger in your mind from now on.  I know it will for me anyway.

I promise that once you start reading, you will not want to put it down.  I have the kindle app on my cell, so any chance I got, I was glued to my phone. That's how B.B. Reid held me prisoner for a couple of days.  I wanted to be glued to my kindle. When I wasn't at home reading, I was on my cell reading every chance I got.

B.B. Reid is definitely on my radar now. I'm looking forward to future reads from this author. I'm super excited for the next book in this series... Fear Us, which will take us on a journey with Keenan and Sheldon, and hopefully the rest of the cast. I.CAN.NOT.WAIT!!! This series has fantastic supporting characters.  I fell in love with Keenan and Sheldon. I'm super excited to read their story!!!

ANGST...ANGST...& MORE ANGST!!!

This book came highly recommended to me.  When I was told that it was a lot like Bully by Penelope Douglas but darker...SOLD!!!  B.B. Reid...Where have you been hiding?

Lake Monroe is getting ready to start her senior year of high school and ready to get on with her life...but Keiran Masters, her tormentor for 10 years, is back.  And he's back for blood, sweat and tears.

"I don't believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming.

I believe in fear.

He taught me how to be afraid."

Keiran Masters is a troubled, dark soul, who has nothing but Lake Monroe and revenge on his mind and he won't let anything or anyone get in his way. He blames her for the year he spent in Juvi thinking she is the one that set him up. He also blames her for circumstances that occurred long ago that she absolutely had no control over. He hates her and he never stops letting her know it. But his actions and words are contradicting, because he wants to own her and only he can have her. And God Bless the soul of anyone who tries to get in his way or tries to get close to Lake.

"I've watched you, and I've studied you. I've memorized you. I know what makes you hurt...I know what makes you sad...I know what makes you cry. And all your deepest fears, I will know. I'll take your so-called strengths, and I'll make them your weaknesses."

What I love about Lake is that she is strong.  It may not appear that way but she is. She takes everything that Keiran dishes out. She doesn't like it but she takes it. What she hates the most is that her body betrays her when her mind is telling her to run far far away.

I really don't want to give too much away so I'm not going to go much into the storyline.  But this book really did blow me away.  I'm so glad Cami suggested I read it...She never steers me wrong ;)

The supporting characters in this book are kick ass.  I loved  Quentin, Dash, Willow, Sheldon and Keenan.  Sheldon is one of my favs...she is a true friend through and through. The stuff that comes out of her mouth is epic.  She doesn't care what she says or who she says it to.  Everyone needs a SHELDON as a friend ;)

I truly was blown away by this book.  The biggest thing for me is that it was such a dark read. At first, I was so torn regarding reading FEAR ME.  I felt guilty for being so engrossed with this dark story.  It felt wrong...so so wrong.  I was questioning my morals to be honest.  How can I be so engrossed in a book that is so dark? But I was so intrigued with Keiran and Lake...I had to know where their story was going. It was a mystery puzzle that I just had to solve. I kept rooting for them.  I wanted them to fall in love...I wanted Lake to tell Keiran the truth dang it!!! I didn't want to put it down. It was all I could think about.  I didn't even want to go to work the next day after I started reading it...I had to know!!! Then UGH......Cliffhanger...but thank goodness book 2 is already out ;)

This is a book I would definitely recommend.  It's so dark and mysterious.  If you can make it through the first half of the book, you'll get some answers in the last half. So so worth it.

I give Fear Me 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~ Kim

Anyone who loves teacher/student romance books, this one is for you.  Anyone who knows me, you know I'm all over these books. When I was offered and ARC for BREAKING NOAH, you can bet your sweet cheeks that I jumped at the chance.

Ashley Suzanne and Missy Johnson did a great job co-writing this book.  I could not tell the difference in their writing style...It flowed effortlessly.

"What happens when you start falling for your worst enemy?"

Zara had her life pretty much figured out until the day her cousin died.  Everything changed for her from that day on.  Revenge is what she had in mind and nothing or no one was going to stop her.

In order for Zara's plan to work, she has to transfer to the college of the professor that she blames for her cousin's death, enroll in his class, and start her process of revenge.  Zara is determined to make him pay.  She is determined to "Break Noah."

"First I’ll seduce him. Then I’ll ruin him."

What Zara was not prepared for was the twist in her plan once her recorded evidence falls in the wrong person's hands. This course of action causes a downward spiral in her plan for revenge.  She also wasn't prepared for her heart to overtake her head.  Was she falling for the man that she set out to destroy?

Will Zara follow her heart or will she listen to her conscience???

This story has many twists and turns...some I predicted and some that caught me off guard...& that I loved...but I needed more!

I must honestly say that I did not like Zara.  I didn't feel a connection with her...but NOAH...I connected 100%.  I connected with him right from the start. I just wanted to yell at Zara and shake some sense into her...at times I just wanted to rip her hair out!!! Ugh!!

I definitely recommend this book...I just needed more.  I love Ashley Suzanne and I love her passion for writing.  You will not be disappointed in this book. Read it now!!!

If you're looking for a story of revenge, betrayal, heartbreak, and then eventually love, then this is the story for you!!!

Tijan has written another great book.  This lady is one talented author.  The way she captivates you from beginning to end is pure talent.  I was truly blown away after reading CR2 and the book flowed flawlessly.

Once I started reading CR2, I was completely hooked!! The story picks up right where CR1 left off but with a lot of twists and turns. Right when you think Carter is done with the mafia, he is getting lured right back in. When Emma's life is threatened, nothing will stop Carter from protecting her. NOTHING!!

"Why is it that your presence can calm me? Your touch can make me alive, and one little sigh from you makes me want to sleep for days in your embrace?"

Carter Reed is one of those characters that draws you in and holds you captive. He's addictive and you crave him.  He makes your heart race while at the same time he is melting your heart. His love for Emma is so deep and you feel it!!  He would move heaven and earth to protect her...He was given the name THE COLD KILLER  for a reason.

I love Emma's character as well. She is one strong heroine and I love that about her.  She is badass and she doesn't care who knows it.  She loves her man and she would give her life to protect him.  She protects what's hers and what she loves...including her family and friends.  She's not going down without a fight.

'She was a fighter, my fighter.'

You will think of Carter for days to come and you can bank on that!!  He is just one of those characters that's special. I can't really explain it...just read it and then you'll know what I'm talking about.  The way Tijan pulls you in and makes you fall for a freaking mob boss (The Cold Killer)...that's just truly amazing to me.

You will also love the secondary characters...the bodyguards as well as Emma and Carter's friends.

I'm serious when I say this...You are missing out if you don't read these 2 books.  Read them now...you will be so thankful you did.

I give Carter Reed2 5 Crazie Stars ~ Kim

Tijan is freaking amazing. That's the only way I know how to start this review. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning finishing this series. I'm still sorta numb.  I'm not sure how Tijan does what she does. She draws you in and keeps you held captive. You're like her freaking slave. Your mind is constantly on the characters. They're all you think about.

When I started reading this series, I didn't know what to expect.  I should have, but I didn't, because Tijan only puts out great reads. I know that!! She hasn't disappointed me yet.  I never dreamed that the Fabulous Threesome, which consists of Bryce (Team Bryce), Sheldon and Corrigan (loved him too) would capture my heart like they did.  For the past couple of days, they are all I've thought about. Still thinking about.

"I shouldn't have to try to force myself to feel a certain way, and right now, I want to be with him."

It's hard to put into words what I'm feeling about this series because of my emotions right now.  I don't want to give anything away.  I read a review that had given Sheldon's choice in the end away and I was like "what the heck!"  That didn't keep me from reading Jaden though.  Even though I knew who Sheldon chose in the end, the book still took my emotions  on a roller coaster ride from hell.  I fell for both of those boys...hard!!! My heart hurts so much for the one she didn't choose.

I cried...

I ugly cried...

My heart still hurts but I'm also happy at the same time. Yes, Tijan has gutted me, but how she pulled the series together has me just stunned.  How in the heck can she make you love all her characters like she does? It's a freaking love triangle.  I always have my choice and I root hard for that choice...but this triangle was different for me. I had my choice, don't get me wrong, but I was fine with the fact that if my choice wasn't who Sheldon chose in the end, I knew I would be okay with her decision. My heart was going to hurt for whoever she didn't choose. I knew that was a given.

"Whoever she chooses is the one she can't be without, but she loves both of us."

"My fairytale was the neglected princess who fought for her own survival."

If you crave angst, suspense, love, betrayal, and lasting friendships, then this series is for you.  It's my kind of series... I crave it all when I read and this series was exactly what I needed. My book slump is no more!!!   My emotions are running high right now because I'm still on my book high.

Kudos to you, Tijan. You are the Queen and I salute you! Well done!!!

I give Jaden 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

OH.MY.GAWD!!! I am at a loss for words. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this book and let me just say that Tijan has done it again!! She has knocked my socks off with this one.  I can't imagine how there can  only be one more book left...NOOOO!  One more book will not do it for me.  There is so much more to tell...OMG...so much more.

I'm sitting here the day after I finished reading Fallen Fourth Down, and am like what the hell?  What did I just read? I can't imagine this series ending.  There is so much more story there.  I love the new characters that have been introduced...well not all of them :/  Please Tijan, we need more books.  I need to see where the future takes these characters.  I have to know. MORE! MORE!...PLEASE!!!

Fallen Fourth Down starts off with the big secret that Sam is carrying around.  Does he or doesn't he???... Is the big question!!! OH SHIT!!!  I am a basket case right now!!!

"It's a cancer, building in me, wondering if I might lose you one day."
~Mason

"No matter what path I'm on, all roads lead to him. They always will."
~Sam

Mason is away at Cain University making new friends and missing Sam like crazy while Sam and Logan are still at Fallen Crest finishing up their Senior year of high school and missing Mason like crazy. Mason and Sam's separation was killer for me.  I wanted them together.  I was like get high school over with for Sam and Logan already and get them to Cain University to be with Mason. Like pronto!!!

"No matter what's going on inside you, I'm here. I always will be. I love you."
~ Mason

Mason, as well as us, are introduced to new characters. Some you'll love and some you'll not so love. And ughh, did I mention that Marissa is attending Cain University...hmmm coincidence!!! Yeah right!!! I don't even want to get started on her...psycho bitty!! I can not stand her!! That's all she is getting from me.!! YEP, PSYCHO BITTY!!!

Oh and Nate...let's just say he was on my bad side for the biggest majority of the book. It's gonna take some sucking up on his part to get back into my good graces. And, oh how I loved him in the last three books...but, NOT so much now!  I'm sure I may love him again, but he's got some major sucking up to do...just sayin'!!!

Matteo has won my heart. I love his character.  He and Mason had immediate chemistry.  I liked him from his very first introduction.  I definitely can't wait to get to know him better.  Love him!!!   I love that Mason has him as a friend. He will be loyal no doubt there!!!

Fallen Fourth Down is full of drama, angst and suspense...I was on pins and needles the entire time. I did not want to put it down.  The angst...off the charts, the suspense...off the charts...the chemistry between  Mason, Sam and Logan...off the freaking charts!! The only way Tijan does it...she reels you in...then you are hooked, line and sinker!!!

He was my life. He was my heart. I couldn't lose my heart.  ~Sam

I fell in love with Mason and Logan from the very first book and with each book, I fall more and more for them.  Mason and Logan are EPIC characters. No other characters will EVER come close to these two brothers.  They have so much chemistry and the love they have for one another is off the freaking charts!!  How can this series not be a movie?  How can this series not be a television series?  Without a doubt, the best series out there!!

"You, Sam. I love you. Only you. When I'm not with you, I survive. When I'm with you, I live." ~Mason

Kudos to my friend, Tijan. You have yourself another 5 Star book..The only way you know how to do it!!!

I give Fallen Fourth Down 5 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

I was so excited to get my hands on this book after reading the blurb and being such a huge fan of Toni Aleo, I knew it would be good and boy was I right.

Whiskey Prince is a sweet sweet love story that grabbed me from the start. It begins with Amberlyn losing her mother to cancer and her entire world crashing down.  Now, she is parentless because she had lost her father years ago and hasn't fully recovered from his death.

Amberlyn didn't get to enjoy being young and carefree and get to experience all the joys of being a teenager because she had been the caregiver for her mother during her illness, leaving her inexperienced in the world. Her mom, knowing this,  left Amberlyn a letter asking her to fulfill three things for her. And in order to do this, she needed to move to Ireland with her aunt and uncle which is her father's hometown.

Amberlyn was reluctant but she honored her mother's wishes and off to Ireland she went.  She got a job working at her aunt and uncles pub along side her cousin, Fiona, who became a huge part of Amberlyn's life. They were like sisters.  I loved the chemistry these two had.

Amberlyn is really liking Ireland and she feels she made the right decision in moving there.

Then...

She sees him ;)  Declan O'Callaghan...The Whiskey Price of Ireland, the heir to one of the largest wine distilleries in the world. But...Declan has a problem you see, his dad wants him to get married and is pretty much giving him a ultimatum or the distilleries will go to his sisters fiance. That's the way it has been and that's the way his father wants it to continue to be.  Declan doesn't want to just marry someone to get what's rightfully his, he wants to find true love.

“I want a girl that loves me for me, not because I am the Whiskey Prince of Ireland.”

With the pressure on to find a wife, Declan has refused to settle and I love that about him. While fishing with his best friend, Kane, Declan sees Amberlyn from across the lake and is immediately drawn to her. He has this desire and need inside of him that he has to get to know her and he seeks out to do just that.

"I watch her for another minute as Kane chuckles beside me. I have the urge to know her…I want to know why she is here and not back in America. I want to know everything, but most of all, I want to find out what color her eyes are and get lost in them. I want to learn her name and then whisper before dropping my lips to hers. I want, no, I need, to know her."

"I know this girl is special and at this moment, I feel more like a king than a prince. And she is my queen."

Soon, Declan and Amberlyn get to know one another and start spending time together.Their feelings for one another can not be denied. Their chemistry is right on but there are obstacles and bumps in their path along the way.

"I want to get lost in her kisses, I want to get tangled in the sheets, I want to feel her..."

Will Declan and Amberlyn be able to overcome those obstacles in their path? Or will those obstacles tear them a part for good?

I really liked this book but I did feel like it was missing something. I needed more. That's why I'm giving it 3.5 Stars. With that being said, it's still a good good read. I would recommend this book to everyone and I'm so glad I met Declan...Ahhh, swoon!! ;)

I give Whiskey Prince 3.5 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

My heart is pounding...it's pounding so hard that I feel like it may jump out of my chest. It's ridiculous that this series is all I can think about right now.  Lili St. Germain, what have you done to me?  You've made me love raw and gritty.  Dang it!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Five Miles starts off pretty much where  Six Brothers left off and Dornan is on the war path.  A path I would definitely stay away from...but not Julz.  Nope, she is high on adrenaline right now...Two brothers down and 4 brothers to go...and of course big daddy Dornan is on that list too.

Each novella just keeps getting better and better and right when you think you may be figuring it out, BAM...the author throws you for a loop...literally!!

Dornan is going crazy with the loss of two of his sons.  He thinks he knows who's responsible so he is ready to strike.  Nothing is holding him back.

This is where I'm on the edge of my seat and I can not put this book down.  I've devoured each one of these books. I'm starving and I can't stop my cravings.  DANG IT!

The stress seems to be getting to Julz. Don't get me wrong she is still bad-ass but I think everything that's been going down is starting to settle in with her and the reality of the situation is brutal.

"It's almost like I'm dying...little by little; piece by piece.

Burnt out, shattered, breaking apart under the weight of my lies-and I still have five to go."

Her saving grace is Jase and Elliott, but at the same time, they're causing her more stess.  Without them though, I worry about Julz.  She is riding down a dark and dangerous road with no going back...So, how long can she keep this charade up? Is Jase on to her?  If so, will he be able to forgive her?

We get more of Elliott and Julz as well as Julz and Jase in this book.  And oh my...my heart breaks for Julz, Elliott and my sweet sweet Jase.

I feel liked I'm being chased and I'm about to get caught.  I'm a nervous wreck.  I must stop here because I'm ready to give away too much.  With it being a novella, it's hard not to give too much away.

This book did not disappoint.  Each one keeps getting better and better. And the end of this book, will do a number on you.  Thank goodness Four Score is out...Not sure I could have waited.

I love this series...I love it hard.  I'm nervous about starting Four Score and I know once I'm finished, I'll have to wait until July for Three Years.  Ugh.

I definitely recommend this series.

I give Five Miles 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

"To be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it." ~Confucius

"I would never forget.  And so, for me, being wronged was everything." ~Sammi/Juliette

Oh my!!! I must say that Lili St. Germain has me hooked! Wow!!! This series is really twisted...Some serious messed up shit. But I can't get enough. I'm anxious, my hearts racing and I feel like I'm siting on pins and needles the entire time that I'm reading. I feel like I'm going to be sick at times, so I get up and walk away, but my mind is constantly thinking of this dang book and I have to get right back to reading. So I'm thinking...am I twisted? HECK YES, I AM!

There isn't a whole lot I can say without giving too much away, so this review is going to be hard. But if you loved Seven Sons, OMG...You're really going to love Six Brothers. I was worried about how Sammi was going to pull off  her next revenge plot without causing suspicion on her...But dang it, she did it and she did it good.  Brilliance...pure brilliance!!!

"Some people would call me a whore. A girl who sold her soul to the devil. Who let him inside her, with no remorse. Who danced with the monster who destroyed everything. To those people, I say only this: I didn’t have to sell Dornan Ross my soul. He already owned it. And once I’ve killed him, maybe I can get it back."

~Meet Dornan Ross~

Dornan Ross is a MONSTER...he's an evil evil man who appears to be falling in love with Sammi.  But even love doesn't keep him from harming her. I'm not sure if he would ever harm any of his son's, because his love for them seems genuine and unconditional.  He  takes their death hard like any parent would. But he wouldn't blink an eye to slit the throat of a woman he may love, especially if she betrays him.  And Sammi got another little taste of what that monster will do. He is one sick man!!! I'm a nervous wreck the entire time Sammi is in his presence.

"You'd never betray me, would you, Sammi?"

"Never," I lie.

Then we have Jase...Oh how I love him!

We get a little taste of the love that Jase and Sammi once shared and my heart breaks for him...for her.  It's getting harder and harder the more she is around him to control her feelings for him...he's still the man she once loved...still loves. But she knows in order to pull off her plans of revenge on Dornan and his son's that she can't let herself go there. And, what if she does go there and confesses all to Jase...would he protect her or would he warn his father? I know in my heart that he would protect her.  He loathes his father and brothers...at least I hope he does.

The more we get to know Jase, the more I love him.  He's nothing like his evil father and brothers.  NOTHING!!

“She was my girl,” he says, and I can feel myself breaking apart inside under the weight of his words. “She was my everything.”

This book was just as raw, gritty and gruesome as the first book. The suspense is really getting to me.  I can't wait to see how this all plays out.  Being in Sammi's head is WHACKED!!! It's like watching a movie...watching it all play out. Her plotting is brilliant...pure genius.

Two down. Five to go.

and the story continues...

I give Six Brothers 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Confucius said, “Before embarking upon a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”

I love to read  reviews from other people. So, when I saw that a certain reviewer that has similar taste as me had highly recommended this series, I was right on it...Thank you Kawehi Reviews!!

As soon as I read the synopsis of Seven Sons, I knew I had to read it.  I've been becoming a fan of MC books lately and this one was like WOAH!!!

With her innocence stolen at the age of fifteen, skin branded, thought for dead and her father murdered, Juliette Portland sets out to seek revenge on the parties responsible.

"Today my name is Juliette Portland, but tomorrow I will wake up as someone else entirely. Someone who will bring Dornan Ross and the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club to their knees."

At the age of 21, Juliette, now known as Sammi, is out for blood and out for revenge against the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club who are responsible for her father's death and her loss of innocence.

Who the heck can blame her!!!

"I shed a tear because she is about to die, six years after she cheated death."

She goes under the knife to change her appearance and to remove the scars that once branded her.

Sammi now finds herself in a situation that in order to seek redemption and raise havoc upon Dornan Ross and his seven sons, she has to live in hell all over again.

"What was born as fear and grief has long since blossomed into hatred and rage."

Sammi wasn't prepared for the liking that Dornan Ross took with her.  She went to him asking for a job and instead of a job, he want's her for himself.  He puts her up in the clubhouse which is exactly want she wanted, but at what price?  Is she willing to sleep with the enemy to seek out the ultimate revenge? Is she willing to live in hell to seek redemption?

What Sammi wasn't expecting was to come face to face with Jace, Dornan's youngest son...her friend and first love.  Seeing him and being back in that strip club brings back memories of that horrific night where she was gang raped by his father and six brothers. Jace refused to participate that night before she blacked out so I'm assuming he did not rape her. Please god, I hope not!!!

"You remind me of a girl I used to know,” he says quietly, looking away."

Her plan is set in motion, she is now IN and has Dornan's complete attention. Carrying out her plan is not going to be easy and she knows it.  Not only does she have to sleep with Dornan so she doesn't blow her cover, she comes face to face with her mother who sold her out years ago for drugs.  No one recognizes her and they wouldn't because she is presumed dead and has had a complete total makeover with a body they can't resist.

Her plan is to take them out one by one.  Nothing is holding her back.  She is ready to strike and she is ready to strike now!!!

ONE DOWN. SIX TO GO.

This novella is by no means a romantic one...at least not at this point, being the  first book in the series.  It's down right raw and dirty.  There is a hint of a potential romance between Sammi and Jace or possibly between Sammi and Elliott, who happens to be the cop who saved her life.  And, I have to say I love them both!!!

"After the third time, he left. Because I was darkness, and he was sinking inside that darkness, and every time he tried to pull me out, I’d hold him under with me."

The first three years after her world was ripped apart, Elliott and Sammi became close...very close.  He fell in love with her but her demons from the past put a strain on their relationship and he knew there was nothing he could do to help her so he left.

Three years later she is back and there is definitely chemistry there.  I also feel the chemistry between her and Jase.  I'm hoping for a Sammi/Jase HEA but I'm also loving me some Elliott.  We'll just have to wait and see where Lili St. Geramin takes us.  A journey I'm so ready to take.

Seven Sons is a RAW...DIRTY...SUSPENSEFUL read that will keep you on the edge of your seat craving more. If you are looking for romance, this is not the book for you...if you are looking for downright raw an gritty...then this is the book for you.  I'm hoping the romance will come with the future novella's.

I have to say that I'm a sucker for romance.  Bring me raw and grittiness with some hot romance and I'm totally on board. I read this novella so fast...Now I'm ready for more.

So, bring on Six Brothers and thank goodness it's already out.  I'm stoked to get started with the 2nd book in this series!!!  Yikes ;)

I give Seven Sons 4.5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came across this book.  But boy am I glad I did. Monster in his Eyes is exactly what I thought it would be and more.

I'll take a dark suspenseful read any day!!!

“I’m warning you. I’m not a good man, Karissa, and I never will be. So don’t think you can fix me, or that I’ll ever change, because I won’t.”

Karissa is your typical college student,  attending college on a full scholarship in which she must maintain a certain grade point average to keep it. This is her means of paying for college and keeping her scholarship is all she is worried about...

Until she meets the mysterious and  gorgeous Ignazio Vitale (Naz).

Naz is handsome...mysterious...dangerous...possessive...and so so swoon worthy!!! Yes, swoon worthy!!!  He had me from the start!  There is something about a sexy bad boy that gets me every time...And, he is thirty six and Karissa is eighteen.!! Yikes.  Big age difference I know, but I didn't mind. I actually loved the fact that he was older.

"His gaze burns through me, seeping down into my soul, seizing me like a prisoner."

"I'm a willing captive."

"I want to be his. I want to be his everything. I want him to take me, and make me, and use me, and abuse me, because he thinks he has control and I know now that's what he craves."

"I want to play his game with him."

The suspense of this book had me on the edge of my seat.  The author was brilliant...I devoured this book!  I couldn't wait to get back to it.  Unfortunately, my day job has nothing to do with reading...that would be an ideal job.  So, in between patients and during my lunch hour, I would read as much as I could.  This book consumed me until the end...and now it's left me wanting more.

"For as much as I hate him, I also love him.

I love him.

I love him.

And I hate that, too.

He's a monster wrapped up in a pretty package."

Yes, there is a cliffhanger...But I think it's one you can live with. I.CAN.NOT.WAIT for more Naz and Karissa!!!

Get this book now if you haven't read it.  But, be prepared because I guarantee that it will consume you and you'll love every minute of it!!

I give MONSTER IN HIS EYES 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Okay, I must say that I'm a huge huge fan of student/teacher romance books. Brittiany C. Cherry DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!  Oh, how I loved this book!!!

When I read the synopsis, I knew I had to read it...like pronto!!! After I read the prologue, I was hooked...like don't even try to drag me away from this book hooked...NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

To Whom it May Concern,

It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soulmates. Yet I believed we were both. Forbidden soulmates.

When I arrived to Edgewood, Wisconsin I didn’t plan to find him. I didn't plan to stumble into Joe's bar and have Daniel's music stir up my emotions. I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow. I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss.

When I started senior year at my new school, I wasn’t prepared to call him Mr. Daniels, but sometimes life happens at the wrong time for all the right reasons.

Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connection.

It was about family. It was about loss. It was about being alive. It was silly. It was painful. It was mourning. It was laughter.

It was ours.

And for those reasons alone, I would never apologize for loving Mr. Daniels.

-Ashlyn Jennings

SOLD!!!

LOVING MR. DANIELS is a wonderful powerful story of forbidden love.  You will be captivated during your entire journey of this book.  You will laugh and you will cry and not only will you fall in love with Daniel and Ashlyn...

We also meet FAUX step brother and sister, Hailey and Ryan that you will adore as well. OMG RYAN...he was one of my favs. LOVED HIM!!!

"To all of the Tonys of the world.

I SEE you.
I HEAR YOU.
I LOVE you.

And you are not alone."
~Ryan

~Meet Mr. Daniels~

“His eyes were so blue and filled with interest. For a second, I thought they were a passageway to a different world.

Beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Brilliant.
Blue eyes.

I sighed.

Maybe they were a passageway to a better world.”

Daniel and Ashlyn's journey begins when Ashlyn is forced to move and live with her estranged father who had been non-existent in her and Gabby's lives. Not only is she having to move across country, she has to switch schools her senior year of high school and move in with her father's girlfriend and children.

On the train ride to Wisconsin, Ashlyn comes face to face with a man that  captivated her...Twenty-two year old musician, Daniel Daniels!!  It's magic...

Beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Brilliant.
Blue eyes.

Daniel invites Ashlyn to come see his band, Romeo's Quest, perform at a bar that they frequently play...And this invite, embarks and unforgettable journey.

"But for the life of me, I couldn’t believe that that girl deserved to be so sad. I secretly hoped that someday someone could make her smile without the frown lines."

"I hoped someday she would be all right."

Things are looking up for Ashlyn for once in a long time and she's feeling a connection to someone...someone who lit a fire in her...someone she could connect with...someone she couldn't stop thinking about and couldn't wait to see again.

UNTIL...

“He wasn’t the handsome man who’d awakened my spirits a few nights ago with his romantic vocals. He wasn’t the man who’d made me laugh and allowed me to cry into him. He wasn’t the man who’d reminded me that I was still alive when his lips had triumphantly found mine.
No, he wasn’t Daniel anymore.
He was Mr. Daniels.
And I was his naïve student who he’d frostily dismissed.”

The story continues...

What a journey this book will take you on.  You will fall in love with all the characters, well most of them. You will experience different emotions throughout.  You will be happy and you will be sad.

This book is about forgiveness, healing, friendship and most importantly, it's a forbidden love story...an EPIC love story!!! You will be engrossed with this book. It will stay with you from now on. When I think of this book, I know I will have a smile on my face. It touched me. It touched me HARD. I will forever think of Ryan. Him and his fake cigarette box. He touched me deep down into my soul...he's left his mark on me permanently...

"May the winds be our
 friends, floating us home.
May tomorrows be the
beauty where each soul
 goes.
May the journey be worth
the ultimate death.
May the sweet memories of
us never be put to rest.
Fine lines between here and
there.
Bursting flames ignite the
air.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Angels, listen closely now."

I feel everyone should read this book
and I hope you get out of it what I did.
I'm thrilled I read it. Pure
Perfection!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED!!

I definitely recommend this book.

"I have nowhere, an no one left to turn to. I lost everything in one night. Over one mistake."

Dragon's Lair is your typical MC read.

I was so excited to read this book but was left disappointed.  I wanted ANGST...none!!! I wanted RAW & GRITTY...none!!!  Don't get me wrong, there was some excitement at times, but not enough to get my adrenaline pumping...and dang it I want my adrenaline pumping when I read.  I crave it!!

I felt a "somewhat" connection with Dex and Faye.  Faye at times had me laughing out loud and Dex was not your typical biker Vice Pres.  He didn't behave in "whoreish" ways like most biker books portray.  He was a great guy who was actually faithful. & I did love that ;). He wasn't as nice though when it came to biker business dealings.  He did what he had to do, whether it be murder or whatever else they do during their business dealings.

Dragon's Lair was a fun quick read. I read it in one day. Because this book wasn't really for me, doesn't mean it's not a good book. It's getting great reviews so give it a try if you like MC books. But, keep in mind, it's a sweet read with some twists, not like the typical MC books that I normally read.

If your looking for lots of angst and down right grittiness, then this may not be the book for you. If you are looking for a sweet read, then this may be the book for you. I just feel it lacked details...but that's just me.

I give Dragon's Lair 3 Crazie Stars ~Kim

“Fairytale is nothing but a fancy word for a lie used to deceive little kids. A false perception of reality used to give them hope in a hopeless world.”

I literally just finished Bang and I'm like holy shittin' caboodles...whatever the heck that even means.  I'm speechless.  Like mouth hanging open, probably attracting flies speechless.

What a dark, suspenseful, twisted, disturbing, hanging on by the seat of your pants read!!!  I'm still trying to process it.

"Vengeance is what I seek, to reclaim what was viciously ripped from me. So now? Now I plot. Now I take control. Now I don my crown of hatred."

Bang starts out with us meeting Nina who is married to wealthy businessman, Bennett Vanderwal. He is very attentive, loving and caring towards her.  Anything she wants she gets...no questions asked.

"He is the power. And I the recipient."

Then we have Scotsman, Declan McKinnon, business associate of Bennett's, who is mesmerized by Nina from the get go.  He is drawn to her  even though she is married to Bennett. The more time he spends with her the harder it is to stay away. Omg..he won my heart big time.  I want Declan for myself.  That accent...holy hottness!!!

“I want to make you into everything you’ve ever dreamed of being.”

Now, we have Pike, a man from Nina's past who is connected to Nina in a way that is revealed in a present/past timeline. He was the only light in her life...her entire childhood after the age of five was nothing but darkness...with the only exception being Pike.  He was her safe haven.

"He can't hurt you if you don't feel. The people who get hurt in life are the ones who allow themselves to feel."

You will learn more and more  about their special connection the further along you read. By the author alternating the present and the past, we get a glimpse into the life that Nina and Pike endured and what lead them to seek out vengeance against the ones she felt were responsible for her dark, troubled and abusive childhood.

This is a book that one must experience on their own.  Giving too much away in a review could ruin the experience you undergo while reading this.  Your emotions will be on high alert and you will feel anxious, nervous and sick to your stomach at times.  Some of the situations that Nina and Pike encountered are very disturbing and will rip you to shreds.  You sympathize with them and you understand MAYBE why they set out to try and destroy responsible parties.

Unfortunately, the characters involved with the revenge plot were all very likable in my opinion.  I get why she felt the need to seek out the people she felt responsible for stealing her childhood  and innocence away, but on the other hand I feel maybe she went about it all wrong.  But...I'm also second guessing myself in saying that because I can't imagine the life she lived and would never wish that on my worst enemy...So, who is to say that in her shoes we wouldn't seek out the same revenge. I will leave that up for you to decide.

I definitely recommend this book.  It has left it's mark on me for sure.  I can not wait for the next book to see what could possibly be in store for us. But, knowing E.K. Blair's  talent in causing havoc within my book world, I'm sure it will not disappoint.  I'm ready E.K. Blair...BRING IT ON!!!

I give Bang 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

I'm not sure what in the heck I just read.  WOW!! WOW!!

Carnage captured my heart, soul and mind and refused to give it back.  This is NOT my typical type of love story but let me just say that this book consumed me this weekend.  I would have finished it much quicker than I did but my son had ballgames I had to attend.

If you are looking for a book that will keep your stomach in knots and rip your freaking heart out, then this is the book for you.  Talk about an emotional roller coaster ride...

I'm so freaking mad at Lesley Jones right now that my blood is boiling...but I'm also loving her at the same time.  Crazy I know, but she lured me in and held me captive for 2 days.  This book was all I could think about...then she ripped my freaking heart out of my chest.  I'm emotionally drained and the tears are still falling...but thank goodness I have today off or I'm not sure I would have made it into work.

It starts off with Georgia Rae(Gia as Sean calls her) at the age of eleven  hanging on monkey bars in her back yard with her best girlfriend, Jimmie, and out walks her brothers best friend, Sean.  It's love at first sight for both Gia and Sean. Their lives will never be the same from this point on.

"I was eleven years old, but I knew without a shadow of a doubt I was staring into the eyes of the boy I was going to love forever." ~ Gia

"Georgia Rae, I love ya, I've loved ya since the day I saw you hanging upside down on the monkey bars, flashing me your pink knickers, you were eleven years old and you stole my heart from my chest and the breath from my lungs." ~ Sean

Then they grow up...Still loving one another.

Sean and Gia's brothers are in the famous rock band, Carnage, and are loved by all, especially Sean, who is the lead singer of the band. This and other things puts a strain on their relationship and then obstacles namely "Whorely" stirs up more trouble for Sean, Gia and Marley.

"Darlin', do me a favour here, all you ladies in the crowd tonight have gotta appreciate the fact that I'm a one woman type of bloke and I love my girl; I've loved my girl since the very first day I set eyes on her and back then she was just a girl…but I've had the pleasure these past few years of watching her grow into an absolutely beautiful young woman and as much as I love touring and playing in front of you lot every night, I'm counting down the days till I'm back in England and in her arms." ~ Sean

I.LOVE.HIM!!!!

So, due to interference from outside sources, Sean and Gia break up. Four long years and they both are still miserable...only existing. Until...Georgia meets Cameron King.

Cameron King(Tall, Dark and Handsome) owns half of London and most of Essex and is known for being shady and dangerous. But Gia doesn't see that side of him.  She sees the loving/caring side and
she finally FEELS and this scares the shit out of her...she is not sure what to do with those feelings.

Gia has been numb for so long since her breakup with Sean, so feeling anything is a sign that things may be looking up for her.  He sparks a desire in her that she hasn't felt since Sean.  So in her mind she needs to stay away from him...but can she???

"Such an angry little kitten, with such sad eyes. Who hurt you Georgia? Who took the light out of those pretty blue eyes ehh?" ~Cam

Cameron truly falls for Gia and she falls for him but nothing compared to her love for Sean.  Her feelings for Cameron will never compare to her feelings for Sean.  Cameron knows that Sean holds the key to Gia's heart but holds on to hope that he can snatch at least a small portion. And if he can do that, then maybe he'll have a chance at winning her whole heart.

"Cam, I really do like you but you need to know, you need to understand there's only him, it will always be him, there's no room for anyone else, wherever we go with this, you need to understand that my heart is sealed and there's only him that's locked inside."  ~Gia

"But you don't know me Georgia; you haven't had a chance to get to know me. If you let me, I will blow your mind baby." ~Cam

Gia, at some point, gets upset with Cam and she takes off to her bestie and brother's house...but guess who is there...Yes, I'm sure you guessed it.  The sexy rock star, Sean.

Finally, after four years, Gia and Sean finally talk and they learn of other obstacles that kept them apart.  Gia is barely holding on now, can she handle the truth...Can Sean handle the truth???

"There's no one else, there never was, it's still only ever you and I will spend every minute of every day, loving you, worshiping you and doing my best to be who you deserve.  I love you Georgia Rae." ~Sean

The road they travel is a bumpy road and let me tell you that you will feel every emotion they feel.  You will laugh...you will feel their love...and you will cry. You will ugly cry...I mean it...have a box or two of Kleenex ready because you are going to need them.

If I don't stop here, I'm afraid I will give too much away.  This is a book that everyone MUST read...I know I'm going against what I normally love to read and I've sworn off these types of books before, but dang it...this one has left it's mark.  I'm afraid this book will stay with me for a while and I'm so glad I read it.  It's a second chance at love book...and I LOVE second chance romance books!!

I have to say that Lesley Jones is brilliant.  She truly is.  She has made me hate and love her at the same time. That's a gift.  I am still thinking of Carnage and the characters.  I truly loved them all with the exception of a few.  I'm not happy with the ending...dang it...not at all...but it was not my story to tell.

Kudos to Lesley Jones...BRILLIANT INDEED!!!

I give Carnage 5 Crazie Stars ~ Kim

WOW! I do believe I have added another book boyfriend to my list. And from the way these characters drew me in, I'm thinking I'll be adding some more very very soon.  Megan Smith did an amazing job making us fall in love with these characters...Knox Mitchell jumped right out of my kindle...grabbed my heart and took off with it.

Jasmine Jennings grew up with controlling parents.  They have controlled her her entire life, deciding what she wore, what college she would attend and even what her major would be. She had access to all the money in the world but all that money did not make her happy.  Getting away from her controlling parents was the only thing going to make her happy.

On the day of her college graduation, Jasmine 22,  gained access to her trust fund left to her by her grandfather. She ups and moves to NYC with her best friend, Summer, to get out from under her controlling parents.  From that day on, Jasmine Jennings lives by her own rules and cuts her parents out of her life for good.

Jasmine and Summer become great friends with a sexy guy by the name of Rex Mitchell. & I must say I loved Rex...Summer and Rex hit it off and become more than just friends.  He introduces them to a new set of friends. Friends that I fell in love with...

So finally, Jasmine's life is looking up and she couldn't be happier...

Until...she meets him...Sexy, heart melting, Knox Mitchell, who happens to be Rex's brother.  Jasmine does everything she can to avoid Knox...but he seems to be everywhere she is, so avoiding him is not in the cards. NOPE...no way of avoiding that adonis...and who would want to.

“What do you want, Knox?”
“You.”
“Not happening.”
“Not yet.”
"Not ever.”

Knox Mitchell is a successful nightclub owner as well as other businesses.  He also happens to own the building that Jasmine and Summer live in.  Gah...he is so dang sexy!!!

Knox's world was turned upside down about 5 years ago when he lost his entire world.  This devastated Knox and he didn't take it too kindly.  He decided then and there that he needed to look after his brother, but he also had vengeance running through his veins.  He then made a pact with himself...HE WOULD MAKE THEM PAY!!!

But, his plan for vengeance is taking a detour...Not a detour he wanted to take. He is yielding to his plan of payback because he wasn't expecting to be affected by one Jasmine Jennings.  Feelings he didn't want to feel.  The more he was around her the more he couldn't fight his desire and attraction to her.  Now what is he to do??? His plan of revenge is crumbling right before him.

For 5 years, Knox has put his vengeance plan in motion. For five years, retaliation against the people responsible for his future being ripped away, and responsible for his life to crumble, has been what's kept him going...

Until her...

"I’m falling for her. I know it deep down inside."

"I want to fall for her, but I shouldn't."

I deserve to be happy again, and I know she can make me feel that way."

"So once again, I give in and go after her."

"I want her."

"I need her."

"I have to have her."

Jasmine and Knox find themselves on an unexpected journey and an exploration of  feelings that were unexpected.  Neither one of them were looking for or expecting to fall in love. There wasn't a place for love in their lives.

Jasmine was loving and enjoying her freedom from her controlling parents.  The only thing she actually missed from her old life was her Nanny, Marie.  The only person who made her feel loved and cared for besides her best friend, Summer.

Knox was living in his own little bubble.  Just functioning in the world.  Taking care of his family and friends and his plan of  revenge on the people responsible for losing his entire world.

Now that the tables have turned on Knox, and he has fallen in love with Jasmine...which was not in his plan...his plan was for her to fall for in love with him. Will he be able to tell her the truth without crushing her and losing her forever?  Or will their secrets destroy whatever hopes they have of  having a future together?

Megan Smith has gained a new fan.  I   was absolutely pulled into this book from the very beginning.  I finished reading FINDING US within a few hours. I'm feeling like there may be more to come from these two...I sure hope so.  I would love to have seen some actual interaction with Jasmine and her parents...especially her father.
I'm also hoping to get to know more of the gang..especially Jeremy and Cade and sweet sweet Ava.  That little girl melted me ;)

This book will not disappoint.  It was a great read for me.

I give FINDING US 4.5 Crazie Stars ~KIM

I love a witty/strong heroine and a witty/strong is what you get with Reese Alison Randall.  LOVED HER!!! I was hooked right from the start.

Price of a Kiss starts off with us meeting the mighty handsome Mason Lowe...and mighty handsome he is indeed ;)  I loved him from the get go.  Unfortunately, he was put in an unthinkable situation by their nasty landlady who was threatening eviction if he didn't take her up on her proposition of him becoming her "play toy".  Mason was so disgusted by her ultimatum that he flat out told her NO!!  But of course, the nasty hag(who was twice his age), would not let up and with his sister having cerebral palsy and his mom working two jobs to make ends meet, he was in a "pickle" and  reluctantly agreed to her ultimatum.
Mason was selfless and didn't cave... especially with the rumors going around about him.  He did what he had to do even though he hated every minute of it and I loved him even more for that.

Reese Randall moved to Florida to attend college and to live with her best friend/cousin, Ava.  She had to change her name and move across country to get away from her stalker ex-boyfriend who had tried to kill her.  Reese was just trying to move on with her life and getting involved in a new relationship was not in the cards for her...or so she thought!!!

"From fifty yards, he'd taken my breath away. From ten feet, I'd been ready to have his babies."

While conversing with her cousin, Ava, Reese was caught off guard by the most gorgeous guy she had ever laid eyes on...Mason Lowe literally took her breath away.  She could not stop staring and was in awe of him. But what she learned and soon found out was that Mason was off limits to her...well...not without a price. Mason was a gigolo...a freaking gigolo. Yikes!!

"Girl, don’t even think about it. You couldn’t afford him if you emptied all the money in your piggy bank."

"What? Is he, like, for sale or something?"

Reese applies for a babysitting job for a special needs child and gets the job.  The little girls brother just happens to be none other than the "hottie" Mason Lowe.  Reese gets a front row seat seeing first hand what kind of life Mason leads.  This makes her fall hard for Mason.  She knows that she can't have a relationship with him because of his occupation.  This doesn't stop her though from becoming his friend.

Reese sees Mason as a person and she can see him deep down to his soul.  She falls really fast and hard for him but she accepts that friendship is as far as their relationship can go.  It breaks her heart knowing what he has to endure to help his family.

"Every woman treats me that way, Reece. I'm not a person to them. I'm just…a good time or something vile to be avoided at all costs. And then you came along and you…you hugged me. You are the first person who sees me, Mason, not sex for sale."

The sacrifices he makes melts my heart.  He has given up so much for his mom and sister.  I just want to hold him and tell him how special he was...and special does not even cover what he truly is.  He is exceptional.  There is not a great enough word to describe him in my eyes.  I admire him for what he has sacrificed...friendships, relationships and not being able to let someone love him and not allowing himself to be able to love someone.  Such a shame...I just wanted to smack that old "Mrs. Robinson-er, Garrison." Skank is a word that I'm sure was invented just for her!!!

"I couldn’t wait to meet his cherry-popping, cougar pimp landlady again. Said no one ever."

"Well played, skanky pimp landlady, well played."

Mason and Reese have a very special friendship that will draw you right in.  I loved watching their friendship develop and more importantly, I enjoyed watching them fall in love.  It took them a while for them to admit it and to take a hold of it and run with it.  It was well worth the wait.
The anticipation was ahhh...and well worth it.

Oh, and before Mason and Reese gave in to their feelings, Mason was no longer a gigolo. ;)

“You’re the warm sun that shines when everything else is dark,” he went on, lifting his hands to rest them against the wall on either side of my face. “A smile and a hug in a roomful of disapproval. You’re…” Wincing, he pressed his forehead against mine. “You’re everything.”

Read this book...it's an exceptional read.  I absolutely loved it.  You will fall in love with both Mason and Reese...and I can't forget Mason's sweet sweet sister, Sarah. She will melt your heart and you will fall in love with her...just like everyone did who came in contact with her.  This book really was a great read!!!

I have been so undecided about reading this book for a while now. It has been in my library for some time. Not sure if it was the conflicting reviews or just that I wasn't sure this was the book I was looking for.  I was on the prowl looking for THAT book...You know the ones you can't stop reading.  The ones where you only get a couple hours of sleep a night before you have to get up and start your day.  Well, this was THAT book for me.

Amanda Kelly has spent her entire life striving for perfection.  She is so consumed with feeling like she is not "perfect" enough or "worthy" enough that she has grown up obsessing over it.  She never felt like she could compete with her sister in her parents eyes...she always felt like she was a disappointment...never good enough. The only thing that she felt was "perfect" in her life was her best friend, Noah Stewart.  The bond they shared was undeniable and unbreakable.

Amanda and Noah remain the best of friends growing up. I loved how they cared for and loved one another.  They were truly best friends.  The way Noah took care of Amanda was so dang sweet.  Oh how I wish I had a Noah growing up.  He was just so tentative of her feelings and he cared deeply for her...it was so obvious  her feelings for him were just as strong.

But, when those teenage hormones come into play and feelings toward one another become more than "friendship" feelings, what to do about it has them questioning those feelings. WHAT DO THEY DO??? They hem hauled around each other...ugh...and that drove me CRAZY.

I wanted to kick Amanda...I wanted to pull her hair out...I wanted her to see what she was doing and what was right in front of her...a godsend was standing right in front of her...but does she...NO...she doesn't.  Noah, the beautiful person that he is can only take so much.  He loves her and it's so obvious to the reader and to the people around them...Amanda is the only one who doesn't see it because she can't get past the fact that she doesn't deserve Noah.  ughhh

"The unpredictability of life sucks. One minute you’re riding high with the wind whipping through your hair and the next minute you’re flat on your ass with a face full of gravel."

I liked Amanda, I really did. She just really frustrated me most of the time. But, on the other hand, I could also relate to her.  I could almost see why she felt the way she did.  I cringed at a lot the choices she made and those choices made me want to jump right in there and say NO NO NO..DON'T DO IT!!!

The experiences that Amanda endures during this book are heart wrenching...I mean cry like a baby heart wrenching.  I wanted to console her when I wasn't wanting to slap her. I know...sounds contradicting...but once you read Present Perfect you will understand what I'm saying.

It takes a dear friend by the name of Dalton Connor to help Amanda see what she should have seen earlier on. But, this friend of hers is very special and I'm glad it played out the way it did.  Well, once I finally made it that far.

"The present’s perfect, young grasshopper, because we’re breathing, moving, laughing, crying, and are surprised when we finally meet someone we connect with. Stop living in the past and wasting your present. You need to tell Noah how you feel." ~Dalton

This is a story about friendship and everlasting love with an undeniable bond that will NEVER be broken. I'm so thrilled I came across this book in my library and that I took a chance on it. It was definitely a rockin' roller coaster ride...but one ride I'm so thankful I took.

"I can’t lose you. You’re my everything. Not having you in my life wrecked me before, but not having you in my world would completely destroy me. My purpose is to take care of you and protect you, but there’s nothing I can do to take this away from you. I don’t know how to help you."

This book will change you...it will. This is the 2nd book that I've read that has affected me this way.  Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover was the other. Two emotional books almost back to back...Dang I'm an emotional train wreck.

“You’ve always been my girl and always will be. No one will ever take me away from you, Tweet. You’re my heart and soul and that’s never going to change, no matter what you say.”

I have to say this...I love Noah Stewart.  He is sweet sweet PERFECTION.  Just like my RIDGE in Maybe Someday.  Wow!! I'm lucky to have read two emotional heart warming books...meaning heart warming at the end...it was gut wrenching until the end but so worth the ugly tears...so so worth it.  Read this book.  It will change you...It will.  If it doesn't, something is wrong with you.  That's only my opinion.

I give Present Perfect 5 Crazie Stars ~KIM

I was beyond stoked when I came across this book and saw that it had such great reviews.  I absolutely love ROCKSTAR romance books.  Alpha Rockers are my favorite and I must throw in there that I love Kylie Scott...she rocks!!!

I was hooked from the very first page. The main character, Evelyn Thomas, wakes up with a major hangover, married to rock god, David Ferris, who is the lead guitarist to the notorious fan fav rock group, STAGE DIVE, and does the unthinkable...she pukes all over him.  AND...the best part is that she has no recollection of the marriage. NONE...She remembers nothing about that night.  It was supposed to be a night out in Vegas for her 21st birthday, with her best friend, Lauren...and what a night it turned out to be...

"So, congratulations. You're married to a rock star."

Evelyn, oh sweet Evelyn...I loved her.  She was a fantastic heroine and very likable...Not your whiney poor me type heroine.  Evelyn was strong willed and was not out for fame or money.  She was happily content working in the little coffee shop that she had worked at since she was fifteen.  She was independent and determined to make her own way. & I loved that about her.

& oh did I mention that she is a country music fan...haha!!  She didn't even know who David Ferris was at first.  It took her going back home to Portland and the paparazzi pretty much attacking her at the airport to figure out what she was in for...and boy was she in for a ride she wasn't ready to go on.

David has become one of my favs that I must move up near the top of my favorite book boyfriends list...Holy hottness!! Not your typical rock god.  Not that he hasn't had his day of partying and living the rockstar life style...Oh yes, David has been there and done that.  He is ready to settle down and he want's Evelyn...he knew from the moment he saw her and spent time with her. Problem is...Evelyn doesn't remember that night at all and this hurts David.  Hurts him badly.

It was so important to David that Evelyn remember their night together. She had made him feel things he had never felt before and he wanted her to remember how she had felt that night too. He needed her to. God love him...

David was 100% IN...Evelyn was NOT at first.  But watching them come together like they did and fall in love was epic in my opinion.  That doesn't happen a lot in books.  We read the same ol same ol over and over...It was nice for a change and to watch their love grow...I felt like I was right there with them and I was rooting and cheering them on.

"Love isn’t always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful … Doesn’t mean it isn’t still the most incredible thing that can ever happen to you."

I love how Kylie Scott got us invested with this relationship.  She had us fall in love with them as they fell in love with each other. Freaking brilliant I must say!!!

You can not pass this one up...HECK NO!! Get this book now and fall in love with David and Evelyn like I did...& like everyone else has done that has read it!!

& OMG..DID I MENTION MAL...Holy Crap..You will fall in love with him too.  His humor is off the charts and you get to meet him in PLAY, which is the 2nd book in this series..and let me just say...HE IS FREAKING AMAZING. David and Mal have ROCKED MY WORLD let me tell you...They're way off the charts...FREAKING AMAZING!!

I give LICK 5 Crazie Stars ~Kim

Wow...just wow!  You have nailed it Emma Shade.  I have loved every book in this series and I'm not a big paranormal reader but you have captured my attention and you have kept it...and that is hard to do.  Each book just keeps getting better.

It starts out with Lily leaving both Ashton and Blake behind and running from the pain of her best friend's death. She takes off with Alaistair, Paige and Jeremy Morrow to train and work for their exclusive organization.  She feels leaving and working for them  will keep her hidden and will keep her loved ones safe.  She blames herself  for the death of her best friend. Something she is having a hard time recovering from.

Ashton Ryder is determined to find Lily knowing his deception was the biggest  reason why she left so abruptly.  His role in her leaving is a deceptive one but he knows until he can find her and explain his reasonings to her that he will never have a chance of getting Lily back and that is something he is not willing to let happen.

Blake Moore is also determined to find Lily.  He needs her to know how he feels about her. Blake has secrets of his own and in order for Lily to open up and give her heart over to him, he knows he must find her before it's too late and his secrets are exposed.

Lily finds herself caught up in a whirlwind of craziness.  Vampires and Conjurers are coming out of the woodwork and Lily is smack dab right in the middle.  Will Ashton and Blake find her before it's too late?  And if they do happen to find her, will she be able to make a choice or will she walk away from them both?

The Vampire and Conjurer world's  collide and secrets are exposed.  These secrets will cause them to pay a high price and will Ashton, Lily and Blake be able to withstand the outcome of these secrets or will they be doomed forever? Will they be lost in a world of loneliness and darkness?  One of these three will pay a high price and it breaks my heart.  But, I know without a doubt, that they will be okay and get their HEA.  They just have to.

"It was going to tear my heart in two, losing him this way. But I knew it was for the best. Better to just get it over with, like ripping off a Band-Aid. Only this Band-Aid was going to hurt like hell, tearing a piece of my heart off with it."

I was not able to put this book down once I started.  I had to get to the end to see if Lily picked my man and to see how everything from the first two books would transpire.  I loved both Ashton and Blake but, with my whole heart, I knew that Lily belonged with Ashton and he was my choice for her. But, no matter who she chooses, it's a win win...I won't say who she picked...you're just gonna have to  read it to find out. ;)

WELL DONE, EMMA SHADE...WELL DONE!

I give Finding Lily 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

******************************************

Cami introduced me to this series and I'm so thankful she did.  I had been in a book slump when she recommended it to me.  Book slump no more and thank goodness the 2nd book was already out when I read the first one because I would have been drowning in my sorrows over the cliffhanger from High, the first book in this series, which I also loved.

The second book starts off  right where the first book left off.  It starts with Bethany returning to NYC after the "bomb" regarding Zach's past, had been dropped on her.  She is devastated and hurt and it doesn't matter that she has only known him for a few days.  I believe in love at first sight and I believe she does too now.

Zachary Savage is not going to give up on Bethany without a fight.  He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her in his life.  He is limited on what he can discuss about what happened in his past and his hope is that Bethany cares enough about what they feel for one another to not give up.  He is not giving up and he is determined to NOT let her give up.

"No matter how much you think you hate me right now, you’re still mine and I’m not letting you go. I never will. I’m telling you that right now so we’re both clear on the matter and there’s no room for misinterpretation. Nod if you understand what I’m saying to you.”

His past is the hold up with their relationship moving forward but Zach's hands are tied with what he can disclose to Bethany. He can't disclose any of this to her so she is trying her best to not think the worst.  She fights with everything in her to steer clear of him but her heart won't let her.  She knows deep down that the man she has gotten to know is no "SAVAGE."  Can she live without ever knowing what happened in his past...but, can she live with knowing??

"Peaches, it's only a matter of time before the whole world knows I'm nuts about you."

Bethany knows deep down that Zachary Savage is no monster.  She knows this but her brain will not let up.  Once she decides to give it a go...there is no going back...and boy oh boy why would you ever want to go back.

Zach knows that in order to keep Bethany that he needs to disclose some information about his past and once he starts seeing that she is not going anywhere, he allows her to ask him one question per day.  Seeing how she is opening up to him and seems to be trusting him more, he appears more relaxed.  He is still scared shitless that she may leave him once the secret is out, but he's willing to take that chance.  He will not live without her and he makes that known.

“You’re seriously deluded if you think that, baby. We’re not over. Not by a long shot.”

I really enjoyed watching Zach's and Bethany's characters develop. Even though they fell immediately for one another and couldn't get enough, we still got to experience the growth of their relationship and how they individually grew stronger. I truly felt their connection and was rooting hard for them.

I would have liked to have known more about Zach's mom and maybe seen some interaction with her. I would loved to have seen Zach interact with Bethany's parents especially when they went to brunch. I thought it was cute how her mom swooned over Zach...and who could blame her ;)

This book is a good read and I'm so glad it was recommended to me.

I give HIGHER 3.5 Crazie Stars!!!

Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite Colleen Hoover books.  I love her and I love her writing style & she has absolutely done it again.  I literally just  finished and I'm overwhelmed with what I just read.  It was absolutely beautiful.

This is not my typical style of book to read.  I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into...but let me tell you, once I started reading it, I COULD NOT put it down.  I WOULD NOT put it down.

Ridge Lawson is not your typical book boyfriend. He is EPIC!! He is the PERFECT book boyfriend!! I fell in love with him right from the start. He is sweet, honest and straight to the point. He will capture your heart and never return it. I loved everything about him. EVERYTHING!! He will melt you to the core. NO FLAWS...nope...not one.

Sydney Blake is a college student who lives with her best friend,Tori,of three years. UNTIL....she finds out her best friend has been sleeping with her boyfriend, Hunter, of two years. This leaves Sydney devastated, homeless and friendless.

Sydney is offered a place to stay for a while by her gorgeous neighbor who has captivated her. She has been drawn to Ridge for a while now.  She loves listening to him play his guitar from his balcony from across the courtyard from her apartment. She would make up her own lyrics to his music and sing along to herself as he played not realizing he was watching her.

Ridge was smitten by Sydney, especially, seeing her sing from across the courtyard to his guitar playing.  He wasn't sure what it was about her that sparked his attention and interest but he knew he couldn't deny the attraction.

**********

There is a love triangle in this book, but it is one like I have never experienced before. It will make you question who in the heck's team you're on??? You catch yourself rooting for both teams. Hell, it was torture...but it was a torture I craved...I just couldn't get enough. Let me tell you who's team I was on...I was TEAM RIDGE... 100%.  He could do ABSOLUTELY NO WRONG in my eyes...NONE!!!

I loved his thinking, I loved his way of rationalizing everything, I loved his compassion for others, I loved his unselfishness.  I just LOVED HIM... BUT, I loved his heart and soul the most. I must say that Colleen Hoover is brilliant...And REMARKABLY SO!

Maggie, Ridge's girlfriend of five years, is gorgeous, carefree and very likable. His devotion to her is heart-warming and heart-wrenching at the same time. You can't help but adore his loyalty to her. But, on the other hand, Ridge and Sydney's connection is off the charts.  They know this and they fight it as hard as they can throughout the book because they both care for Maggie and neither one of them have ever been cheaters and they don't want to hurt her. Sydney knows this first hand because she has experienced it recently.  That betrayal is what brought her to Ridge...and bless his heart, he truly loves them both.

Sydney and Ridge handle their feelings and  situation in a mature way and I loved that about them.  It's like nothing I have ever read before.  My heart shattered in tiny pieces for all three of them. I wanted to jump right in there and hug the shit out of them.

"My heartbeats were all for Maggie. They always had been, but the more time I spent with you, the more you started to unintentionally infiltrate and steal some of those heartbeats."

Even though I did feel a connection with Maggie, and I truly felt for her, I could feel the genuine love that Sydney and Ridge had for one another.  Their chemistry was off the charts and I could NOT stop rooting for them.  It killed me for Ridge knowing how he felt for both of these women.  He's that amazing to me.  HE'S PERFECTION!!

"I...will never...regret you."

"Nothing in my life has ever felt so good, yet hurt so achingly bad."

"The second my lips touched yours, my heart split completely in two. Half of it belonged to you from that point on. Every other beat of my heart was for you."

In my opinion, this book is brilliant. The entire book was beautifully written and Colleen Hoover did an amazing job drawing you in and making you fall in love with all her characters. I'm more in awe with her than I have ever been. I've always been a huge huge fan of hers but now she has a fan for life. I'm still thinking of Ridge and what he went through. I'm so stoked that I read this book. It will stay with me from now on and that makes me so happy. It makes me look at my life different and makes me want to be a better person...Just like Ridge.
Kudos to Colleen Hoover...The Queen of my soul!!!

"For her I bend, for you I break."

"It's you," he says aloud. "My heart...wants you."

OMG..HE MELTS ME!!!

This book is a MUST READ!!

I give Maybe Someday 5+++ Crazie

OMG!!! I absolutely am stunned at this book & what I've just read. I'm in love with R.J. Lewis.  I have been in a book slump for some time now & Ignite & R.J. have pulled me right out of that slump & propped me right back into my wonderful Book World...happy as can be ;)

Jaxon(love him) & Sara are both from the projects.  Sara is brought up by an abusive father & an alcoholic mother. Jaxon has a wonderful, loving mother who works hard to take care of him & a non-existant father who left him & his mother when he was young.  Jaxon is popular in school, he's athletic & gorgeous & the girls want him & the boys want to be like him. He's just PERFECT!!!!

The complete opposite for Sara, who is bullied because she is poor. She has no friends & is constantly trying to avoid everyone & not be noticed. She tried to hide in the background...& with not much luck.  One day she is being picked on by a prissy ass bitty & Jaxon takes up for her.  Turns the table on the prissy ass bully. Gah, he is awesome!!!

From that day on, Jaxon & Sara became friends...then friends that became best friends.  Jaxon took Sara to her Senior Prom...SWOON!!! Then they were friends that became lovers.  Gah, how I love him.  He is soooo...sooo freaking AMAZING.

Jaxon & Sara then became inseparable.

Their love for one another blossomed & you were right there with them riding out their high.  I felt everything Sara felt.  He melted me... He swooned me...He knocked my freaking socks off. I couldn't put the book down.  I was up until the wee hours of the morning, then I would finally go to sleep & then wake up & go right back at it again.  I had to have more of Jaxon..I needed more of Jaxton. I had to know what was going to happen.

WELL...Let me tell you what happened. Freaking Sara got a wild crazy hair up her ass and let her mind get the best of her & ruined the best thing that ever happened to her. I wanted to bitch slap her.  I wanted to pull every hair in her head out. She drove me freaking crazy.  Gah, I wanted to jump in there and shake the shit out of her and say WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM? Look at that adonis that you have and he FREAKING LOVES YOU...you dimwit!!!

But, Sara had some issues that she needed to resolve. So, she just left him...left him. I was like c'mon, get over yourself & grow the hell up. I wanted to strangle her. But, then on the other hand, I did feel sorry for her. I was angry at someone else as well for putting the thought in her head to begin with.  I won't say who... but, after you read it you will know who I'm talking about.  I loved that character but I wanted to strangle them at that moment as well.

Now, 5 years later & Sara has dropped out of  law school with only 2 years to go.  She felt she didn't deserve to be happy after leaving the love of her life.  She felt being miserable was what she deserved.  She got a job at a law firm and started sleeping with the boss.  It was a "boss with benefits" type relationship.  This relationship went on for about 2 years...until...

Sara received some bad news which forced her to have to go back home and take care of some things.  She didn't think she would ever be going back to her hometown & never dreamed of running into the love of her life ever again.  Well, she was in for a rude awakening.  Things didn't go as she had hoped & she didn't get a welcome home party either...Nope, not at all.

One person in particular was not happy to see her. He was a complete jerk towards her. She definitely deserved it with the way things had went down between them. I felt bad for her at that moment and that's when I did a complete turn around with my feelings toward Sara. I started liking her again. She had a rough 5 years and she took full responsibility for leaving him. She knew she messed up but felt it needed to be done because of her past. She was afraid she would continue hurting him by staying with him.

She NEVER stopped loving him..NEVER!!!

I have to stop here or I will give too much away. You will have to read the book to see what happens in the end. & OH BOY...what an ending.

I give Ignite 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

I'm not really sure where to even begin with this review.  Books that I love are really hard for me to put into words how they make me feel. It's like I'm afraid I can't express in writing how it actually affected me. But I'm dang sure gonna try. ;)

I fell in love with Colton Donovan (ACE) in book # 1 ~ Driven. Fell head over heals in book # 2 ~ Fueled. & madly in love in book # 3 ~ Crashed.  He melted me & assaulted me in ways I never dreamed. Everything about him was right on.  I took my time reading CRASHED & believe me, I'm a power reader & I did that because I didn't want it to end.

I loved the Alpha male in him, I loved his smart, dirty mouth.  I loved his darkness. I loved his smirk, I loved when he ran his hands through his hair.  I loved his bantering with Beck(and oh how I love Beck too) & Rylee. I loved when he would say "checkered flag".  DAMN, I want a freaking checkered flag.  Gah, I LOVED THAT DAMN MOUTH!! I race Colton Donovan to the moon & back & back again.

Colton's love for Rylee was so heart warming & I loved having his POV( I love knowing how the characters are feeling especially alpha males like Colton). I loved how K. Bromberg drew us in and held us captive until that last word was written.  All I could think about was getting back to my ACE. Between patients I would sneak & read on my phone at work...shhhhh. I lived & breathed Colton Donovan until the very end.  Now I'm still thinking of  him.  Great books will keep you thinking of their characters for days.  I'm sure it will be more like forever with me.  That's how much this series has touched me.  I have my share of book boyfriends & believe me the list is huge.  Well, Colton Donovan has raced his way to the finish line of my heart & left his mark on me...permanently!!!

All I really can say is if you haven't read this series, you are missing out!!! & WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? These characters will touch you & stay with you forever.  I'm terribly sad that the end has come.  I've looked so forward for Crashed to be released, but now, I'm sad it's over.  I'm guessing I will be re-reading this series for years to come. K. Bromberg you did it again.  You've ROCKED MY WORLD. Thank you for bringing us COLTON & the CREW.  Their chemistry was  COMPLETE PERFECTION!!!

I RACE YOU & I THANK YOU!!! & I WANT A FREAKING CHECKERED FLAG!! ;)

I give Driven, Fueled & Crashed 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

I was privileged to receive an ARC of FINDING ME.  I have been anxiously awaiting for this one after S.K. Hartley left me wanting more after book one. I was instantly hooked once I started reading this series.  Logan is one of those characters that leaves you thinking about him for days after you're are finished reading.  I connected with Logan... I felt every emotion he felt.  The mother in me wanted to go to him...to hold & comfort him for as long as he needed.

Finding Me starts off where book one left off.  Neva finds herself in one hell of  a situation.  A situation where she is left wondering WHAT THE HELL, ANGEL.  My heart broke for her. But, I must say that I did feel for Angel a little bit...but only a little. & learning a little about Angel's childhood & what he endured...My heart hurt for him. But, with that said... I just felt like he was a grown ass man so it's time to put the BIG BOY pants on!!! & His father was a SICK FREAK...a SICK FREAK INDEED!!

Ahhh, Logan.  My beautiful Logan...  He touched my heart so deep he melted me.  I know that some will think that Logan was NOT the strong/alpha character that he was in book one... BUT, I have to disagree.  What he went through for the LOVE OF HIS LIFE was a sacrifice that most men or women would NOT go through.  The pain and sadness that HE felt...DANG IT...I felt it!! He wanted Neva to heal on her own & to learn how to come to terms with her past and present.  It took everything he had to stay away.  He suffered a lot and I admired him more for that & for what he sacrificed.  He took a chance on losing his ONE & ONLY LOVE so she could heal & grow.  To me...THAT'S A STRONG STRONG MAN...A REAL MAN!!!

I loved Neva's character & at times, she made me want to pull my hair out. But, I understand. I do. I didn't agree with her choice in book one but she redeemed herself in my eyes. It took her having to heal on her own without having the comfort & love of Logan that she had always depended on to heal & move on. This made her stronger & able to overcome what had tormented her & gave her the ability to offer forgiveness for what life had dealt her.

I have to mention my love for TATE & LOW.  I love these two together and I love how they are so protective of the one's they love.  It was very touching & EVERYONE needs friends like those two.  Low has that feistiness that screams out to you!!! & Tate...oh sweet Tate!!! Love him!!! Can't wait for their story in book #3!!!

I highly recommend this series. You will connect & fall in love with these characters.  FINDING ME is filled with a lot of emotions...Angst, sadness, forgiveness & lastly...LOVE!!

I give FINDING ME 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

OMG!!!! Tijan has outdone herself AGAIN!! WOW...HOLY WOW!!! This book was FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the KADE BOYS!!!! I had the honor of receiving an ARC for FCP and let me tell you....it will BLOW your mind. I seem to stay on an emotional high for days after I finish each book in this series. The Kade boys have a connection with one another that is REMARKABLE...and their connection with Sam is...PHENOMENAL!!! I love their protectiveness of her. It's AMAZING what an incredible author Tijan is...to be able to get that connection across to her readers is a GIFT...A gift that I'm so honored to receive.

Sam begins a new journey starting at Fallen Crest Public her junior year of high school where her boyfriend Mason and her best friend Logan attend. Sam knew she was in for some drama because of her attachment to the KADE BROTHERS. But what she endures is not what she had anticipated. She has to deal with some off the chart BULLYING from a group of girls who have been attached to the brothers for some time now. These girls don't take too kindly to Sam's attachment to these brothers.

I have to give KUDOS to Sam because she stood her own ground and wanted to handle these girls on her own. Of course Mason and Logan had their eyes open at all times. No way are they going to let some red neck wanna be cool girls...bother Sam. Unfortunately, the girls do get the upper hand on Sam at some point!!! BUT...LET ME TELL YOU...THOSE KADE BOYS go off on a MISSION....OH.MY.GAWD....DO THEY EVER ;) OH, have I mentioned how much I LOVE THOSE BOYS...WELL...I LOVE THOSE BOYS ;) I have to stop here or I'm going to give too much away!!! Oh, & we do get MASON'S POV..squeeeeee

It has been a few days since I finished FCP and I'm still thinking about those Kade boys. I'm not sure I will EVER get enough of them. They are a part of me now. I can't decide which Kade boy I adore the most. I must say that I ADORE them the same. I'm a huge fan of Sam too. I love her strength and her ability to see the good in people especially in the ones who DO NOT DESERVE IT!!!

This series is a MUST READ...You are missing out if you let this one slip by...just sayin ;)

I give FCP 5 CRAZIE STARS!!!!! ~Kim

WHERE IN THE HECK DO I START??? It has taken me a few days to be able to even write this review. I'm on a MAJOR BOOK HANGOVER!! BELLE AURORA...you are a FREAKING GENIUS!!

This book was RAW...GRITTY...DIRTY...HOLY HELL...it had TWITCH!!!  At first, I was positive that I DID NOT LIKE TWITCH!!!  But, something happened...my feelings changed. Getting his POV helped tremendously. I had a love/hate relationship with him. I so wanted to not like him...but I DID...and I liked him HARD.

“Monsters don’t always lurk in the shadows.” Reaching up, he runs a fingertip slowly down the length of my jaw. Leaning forward, his breath warms me as he mutters a hairs-breadth away from my lips. “Sometimes they hide in plain sight.”

One night, when Lexie was a child, she helped a neighbor boy after his father had abused him. She never saw this boy again but she always wondered and worried about him. He helped in her decision to become a social worker. Lexie moved to Sydney, Australia, with her foster mom(whom she adored) after a sad upbringing and has worked as a social worker for abused children ever since.

"Some things in life are so sad that there are no words to describe the amount of sadness, grief, and sorrow a person is feeling. I assume this is why God allowed humans the simple act of crying. When a person cries, they feel the sadness slowly ease out of them. They feel as though they are justifiably respecting a person that has died through showing their grief. They allow a moment of sorrow to overcome them and cry out a small portion of their unseen pain."

Lexi has a stalker but for some reason it doesn't bother her. Whether she is getting in her car, at the park or at her favorite cafe... HE is always there and this sort of excites her... & She tells no one! He has never approached her and she has never truly seen his face...just his hoodie.

One night on her way home, Lexi is attacked in her apartment complex parking lot by a man. He is about to rape her...but she is rescued... by her one and only...STALKER. Lexi knows that she should be scared of him but she is not...she actually feels safe.

“What’s your name?”
“Doesn’t matter. You’ll forget it once I’m gone.”
“No, I won’t.”

The name is TWITCH. Twitch is messed up...He has major issues. He had a horrible childhood but he never let that stop him. He had never seen the good in the world except for once and that left him majorly messed up... His big motivator!!! He used that to get him where he is today!! He is a self made man...owning his own company & living the life of luxury!! He was out for payback and that payback comes with consequences. Consequences he was not ready to face!! & boy did he face them...he was hook, line and sinker. There was no going back now no matter how hard he wanted to.

“Sometimes good people have to do bad things. It’s nothing personal. It’s just life."

Lexi falls in love with her stalker and he introduces her to a world she never thought she would be a part of. Hell, I fell in love with her stalker...sounds crazy to even say...Twitch does something to you that you know is WRONG...you know it's CRAZY but you can't help yourself...I don't blame Lexi for falling for him...he's bad news...he is... but he's deliciously bad!!!

“He is lodged in my subconscious. The star of my dreams. Which is ridiculous. I know.”

I could go on & on but I'm not going to. I don't want to give anything away. This book is AMAZINGLY written. Belle Aurora is a FREAKING GENIUS...I know I said that earlier but I had to say it again!!! I know this book is considered "dark" but it's not really dark... I'TS GRAY...IT'S AWESOME...Yes, Lexi is the light and Twitch is the dark..which makes it PERFECTION!!!! IT'S RAW..IT'S GRITTY...IT'S AMAZINGLY WRITTEN...Well done, Bella Aurora!!! You ROCKED IT!!!

I give RAW 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

Welcome to Briarcrest Academy…where sometimes, the best things in life are Very Bad Things.

REVIEW.....

I was honored when Author Ilsa Madden-Mills offered me an ARC of her novel.  I had been anticipating this one for awhile now.  I watched and re-watched her video book trailer and knew right away that I was going to love this book and Leo Tate ;)  Not only did I love this book...I loved Leo & Nora.

Nora Blakley is GORGEOUS, RICH & she is an accomplished pianist. On the outside...she is PERFECT but on the inside she is dealing with a lot of demons. She decides she is tired of being the PERFECT friend, daughter etc...So she writes down a list of "VERY BAD THINGS" for her to do in her life to break that mold.

Nora had me right from the get go when she was first introduced. I love how she is the carefree spoiled rich girl on the outside... & I'm not usually a "fan" of  female characters in books like I am of the male characters...But boy did Nora reel me in...she reeled me in good.  I love how she can be sweet but I love her sassiness the most.

Leo Tate is HOTT...SIZZLING HOTT...with a SMOKIN' HOTT BROTHER (ahhh, Sebastian) ;) He is determined to take care of his little brother and get his "new" gym up and running.  His priorities don't include relationships with women.  He does not do COMMITMENT & he makes that loud and clear. He only dates with no strings attached. His priorities include making sure Sebastian has a great education so he enrolls him in the prestigious private school "Briarcrest Academy".

This is where Leo's life takes a dramatic turn. He is knocked for a loop when the feisty blonde, Nora, deliveries an EPIC speech at her school.  He CAN NOT stop thinking about her and this confuses him because he DOES NOT do relationships or even give any woman a second thought...except Nora.  He has a hard time with the age difference as well.  He is 25 and Nora is 19. The age difference does not bother Nora.

I don't want to give anything away so I'm going to stop before  I do.   All I know is that everyone needs to read this book. The writing of this book is spectacular && The chemistry between these two is too AMAZING to pass up.  I did not put this book down once I started it.  I was glued to my kindle....literally ;)

Ilsa Madden-Mills is a TALENTED-AMAZING AUTHOR. I CAN NOT WAIT to read more from her.

I give VERY BAD THINGS 5 CRAZIE STARS ~KIM

Lots of people want to be Rock Stars, but the question is, can they handle it? Travis Dane has never wanted anything more than to be a Rock Star. He dreamed of being just like his father, Marcus. What the idol in his life never told him, is that the road to fame is paved with self destruction. Music, drugs, drinking, fighting and crazy stalkers all battle for his attention. Throw in an uncaring mother and Papararzzi following his every step is disaster waiting to happen.

Brittany Landers has never loved anyone like she did Trav. But his temper and drug use drove her into the arms of another man. Finally getting her life on track, striving for her law degree, can Aiden Bland take her mind off of Travis and what he’s going through? Or is he just Mr. Wrong Right Now? The emotional roller coaster of fame is never a Happily Ever After.

I had the privilege of reading the ARC for this book and was so excited because I love love love Rocker books. :)

Travis & Brittany are two characters that I could not get enough of. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I was going to connect with these characters, but low and behold....I connected!!!

Brittany is from a wealthy family where she has to work for her money. Most people who knew her felt she was a spoiled rich kid... including Travis. Brittany was far from spoiled. She was such a good heroine that I admired her. She was far from perfect and I loved that about her.

Travis is the son of a Famous Rocker Musician who never really played a role in Travis' life. Travis looks up to his father and shares the same love for music. His dream is to become a "ROCK STAR" just like DAD...and NOTHING is going to stand in the way of his dream.

Travis and Brittany deal with a lot of life situations including, love, break-up, drugs, alcohol and sex. Brittany gets her life in order per say while Travis goes down a dark dark path...to the point of hitting rock bottom. Brittany's so called friend/co-worker, betrays her and gets involved with Travis leading him down the road to self-destruction. The question is ...Can Travis be redeemed and break away from the train wreck he has become a part of? Can he forget his one true love?

Brittany, on the other hand, goes to college and gets her degree, she goes to law school, and gets involved with someone her parents approve of. The problem is that Brittany can't seem to forget the love of her life. Can she move on without Travis?

This book was a book that I could not put down once I got started reading. N. Kuhn did an AMAZING job keeping me glued to my kindle. There were times that I was so angry with these characters and wanted to scream...REALLY!!! & then there were times that I shedded a few tears. I love when I become so engrossed with a book that I don't want to put it down until I'm finished. This was one of those books. Read it and you will NOT be disappointed.

I give Travis 4 CRAZIE STARS!!! ~Kim

Okay, where in the world do I start with this review?  I will start with saying that I absolutely LOVE this entire series.  The first two books were FANTASTIC...and Danielle Jamie nailed it again with the 3rd.

This book takes us through the emotions and aftermath of the 2nd book, Inescapable Desire.  Savannah and Kayden struggle with what happen to them & Kayden has a hard time dealing with not being able to protect Savannah. He blames himself for not checking into Zak and Jacob's backgrounds so he feels responsible for thier actions. Kayden also has past demons he has burried within himself that he needs to deal with so he and Savannah can move on with their lives. & Savannah has to overcome the tragic ordeal that she encountered in order to move on as well.  They both seek counseling together which is a good and not so good...

I love that Danielle Jamie gave us Kayden's POV.  It was so nice getting to know Kayden on a deeper level.. I was drawn to him from the very first book.  He has this charisma and charm that is felt immediately.  When he speaks....oh man....it melts me.  I don't know what it is about this character...he is just complete PERFECTION in my book... I love how much he loves Savannah.   I love how much she loves Kayden.

Kayden and Savannah work together to get through this emotional rough patch they are dealing with.  The past will come back and haunt them but their love will prevail and be stronger for it.  I love the chemistry these two share... it's UNDENIABLE.  & OMG...The sex...WOAH...is HOTT HOTT HOTT!!!  DID I SAY HOTT??  Kayden Knox will melt your heart, & he will leave you wanting MORE.  Danielle Jamie will leave you wanting more..Dang her..she left me hanging..I need the 4th book...like yesterday!!! I CAN NOT WAIT  for more of Kayden & Savannah.

I'm so glad there is a 4th book to this series.  I can't get enough of sexy cowboy Kayden Knox. NOPE...CAN'T GET ENOUGH <3.

"I need your love just as much if not more than I need air to breathe.  You're my soulmate, my other half, the missing piece to my crazy puzzle."~Kayden

I give this book 5 CRAZIE STARS!!! ~Kim

For there is nothing more sacred than… A Love Like This…

REVIEW...

Okay, this is a really hard review to write for me because I'm so in love with this series. I fell in LOVE with Ryan and Julia from the get go. Ryan stole my heart and he NEVER gave it back. I loved him in The Future of Our Past, I really loved him in Don't Forget To Remember Me & I'm over the moon in love with him in A Love Like This. Kahlen Aymes set the bar high when she started this series and she NEVER fell short.

The conclusion of their love story was right on. I was so blown away by the first two books that I wasn't sure if the last one would meet my expectations...but boy was I wrong. Kahlen Aymes reeled me in and she reeled me in good...but she kept throwing me back out. Then she would reel me in again. I was on such a roller coaster ride that I felt like I was going to throw up at times. I was so scared of how this wonderful love story would end and I was frightened that lines may be crossed and that forgiveness would not be possible.

There were times that I wanted to throw my kindle and I wanted to jump right in and shake some sense in to these characters. I wanted to scream and say ARE YOU CRAZY?? OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES. The ANGST was gut-wrenching but the LOVE was BREATHTAKING.

I wanted every day of forever to spend in his arms, secure in the knowledge that he loved me in ways I couldn’t comprehend and I loved him more than I could ever put into words. The love between us was too much and yet…not enough. If we died drowning in each other’s arms, it would never be enough.’ - Julia

A Love Like This starts about a month later from where book two ended. So, get ready people for the ride of your life. Kahlen Aymes DID NOT DISAPPOINT! There is LOVE...OH YES...THE LOVE...There is ANGST...DANG IT...but I needed it...I CRAVED IT...& the PASSION was HOTT!! SIZZLING HOTT!!

Ryan and Julia are very much in love. They have overcome so many obstacles in their relationship and life keeps throwing curve balls at them. I keep thinking... Please, just GIVE THEM A BREAK...But, each obstacle they faced just drew them closer together and their love for one another continued to grow and grow.

Ryan is faced with a dangerous situation at his work where he must make a quick decision on whether he is going to do what he has always done or is he going to give in and give up what he believes in. He makes the decision to continue doing what he believes in and this decision has some consequences that he realizes almost a little too late. Ryan and his co-worker, Jane, are put in a dangerous situation where Ryan gets injured but Jane gets critically injured with life altering changes.

Ryan and Jane become close because of the devastating experience they encountered together. Jane tries to get a little too close to Ryan and this causes a wedge between Ryan & Julia's relationship. Julia catches on to Jane and she doesn't trust her even though she gives her the benefit of the doubt in the beginning. Julia knows that Ryan feels obligated to Jane because Jane saved Ryan's life when she stepped in front of him to protect him from his attacker. She knows that Ryan will stand by Jane because that is the kind of MAN Ryan is. Ryan is struggling with what happened to him while he is trying to maneuver his job, married life and his guilt for what the incident took from Jane.

As hard as it is for Julia to sit and watch another woman try and take her place in Ryan's heart, she tries to make it work and put it out of her mind. The only problem is Jane will NOT go away. She shows up at the worst times and Ryan seems to fall for it every time until Julia has had enough.

Can these two survive another obstacle thrown at them? Can Julia just sit back and watch another woman try and take her place in Ryan's heart? Will Ryan fight for the love of his life? Will these two have a HEA?

I can answer this for you but I'm not going to. You need to read this book or this series if you have not. I can not express with words what this series has done for me. Ryan and Julia have touched my heart in a way that other book couples have NOT! I have my fav book boyfriends and couples but RYAN & JULIA together..there is NOT another couple that outshines these two. They have this special chemistry that explodes from your e-reader or the paperback book you hold in your hand. It is like no other. THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ. You will fall in love with RYAN & JULIA just like I have and you will always remember what a special bond and love they share. I must say that I am truly sad that the journey with Ryan and Julia is now over. I'm hoping that maybe a Novella is in the near future for these two. I would love to see what the future holds for them.

"There never was, nor will there ever be…a love like this.” -Ryan

It would’ve been different if I had courage, even an ounce of it. But I was a coward from the day I met you, Ryan Crowley. I still am. In the end it doesn’t matter. The bottom line is the same. It’s my fault.

When the unthinkable happens Carly Cavanough is left beaten, betrayed, and devastated. Her best friend doesn’t understand. Her parents won’t listen. Everyone in her life turns against her. She’s alone. Completely alone, except for Ryan Crowley, the boy she’s been crushing on for years. She won’t admit to him what she can’t admit to herself. But he understands without words. He knows more about what she’s going through than she can possibly imagine and he knows what it will take to start the healing.

With Ryan’s help Carly begins to piece together the fragments of her once perfect life and embarks on a journey of love and healing, just long enough for the rug to be pulled out from under her again. Can she find the strength and will to pull herself together to save Ryan and herself when their lives are on the line?

REVIEW.....

WOW!!! I was NOT sure in the beginning when I started reading this book if I would make it through it or not, due to the fact, that she was telling her story in 1st & 2nd person. It was distracting in the beginning but I figured out eventually why she told the story the way she did!! KUDOS to you, Danielle!!

Carly Cavanough & Ryan Crowley are two seniors in high school with only a couple of weeks left before graduating. These two have been close friends for awhile & care deeply for one another, BUT neither one knows how the other one feels. One New Years Eve, Carly & Ryan were supposed to spend it together...like on a date, but because her dad started putting his work before his famiy, Carley had to spend it with a client of her dads. Their son Will becomes infatuiated with Carley & gives her a KISS at midnight. Carly wanted it to be Ryan that had kissed her.

One night while at a party at her NOW boyfriends house, Carly comes face to face with Ryan. Carly & Ryan hadn't spoken in months & they try & talk about what happened that got them to this place they are at now...then HE walks up and interrupts them. Will is NOT happy to see Carly talking to Ryan so he ends their conversation by basically telling him to TAKE A HIKE. Ryan doesn't blink an eye & he will move when he dang well pleases. Carly is NOT happy with Will. Ryan kisses Carley on the cheek & then leaves.

Carly decides that she needs to be alone & get away from the craziness!!! But, little did she know that her life is about to change.... & boy does it ever change!!! I hate what happened to Carly & I hate how her parents turned their backs on her as well as her best friend. Ryan NEVER left her side. He alone & with some help from Carly, herself, brings some life back in to her.

Carly feels abandoned by her parents. They have completely turned on her & she wishes that things would go back to the way they use to be. Her dad blames her for their hardships because she was NOT doing her part. He wanted her with Will ( Scumbag) whose father owned a chain of clothing stores. Will's father was a prominent client of Carly's dad He HAD to cater to them...& he DEFINITELY did!!!!

Carly's parents eyes were finally fully opened to what had been going on right in front of them!! It took a tragedy for them to see it! Carly has a lot of healing to do to overcome her ordeal. She is a strong young lady who has a wonderful guy who loves her unconditionally!! Those two will face many more obstacles...Im sure but i feel they will overcome anything & everything thrown at them. I don't want to give too much away about this book because it is a hard one to review. Not because it's not good...because it is.. It's just a hard one to review. Once you read it, you're gonna love it ;)

I give To My Hero 4 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim

REVIEW.....

Okay, I'm not sure where to start with this review. First, I would like to say that I'm grateful that I was a beta reader for this book & I'm AMAZED at how engrossed I became with this story & these characters. Emma Shade did a great job getting right to it from the very beginning & I was drawn right in from the very start. The suspense, the drama & the HOTTNESS seeped right out from the book...& when I say HOTTNESS, I mean SIZZLING HOTTNESS ;).

Lily Canton is a beautiful young lady who has dealt internally with issues that she can not explain & she is on a mission to find out about her past & what her past means for her future. She was not expecting to come in contact nor was she looking or wanting to come in to contact with the most GORGEOUS man that she's ever seen....SWOON ;). & the name would be Ashton Ryder.

Ashton Ryder is the SEXY club owner that Lily happens to come across one night at his club when she uses a fake name that her best friend(only friend) Sam gave her to use to gain entrance into his club. It's NOT a pleasant encounter when Lily has to face Ashton & club bouncers because she had deceived her way into the club. NOPE, not pleasant at all!! Lily & Aston are drawn to one another & Lily knows that some things are just OFF but she just can't put her finger on it. A situation occurs between Lily & one of the bouncers & Lily takes off leaving the club & Ashton behind. She knows NOW, without a doubt, that she is UNIQUE...& now her mission is to find the missing pieces of her past & hoping to find the answers to why she is so different!!

Sexy & powerful, Blake Moore, now enters & he has his eyes set on Lily!! He is unique in the same way that Lily is unique & he wants to help her control her special powers but he also has an agenda!! He WANTS HER for himself...OR DOES HE!! Blake knows things & there are secrets that he & Ashton are both keeping from Lily. She really doesn't know who to trust because she knows that she is NOT supposed to be alive & that someone is out there that wants her dead.

From the very beginning to the very end, I was on the edge of my seat. The suspense was killing me & I COULD NOT wait to get to the end to find out WHAT IN THE HECK was going on. I would think okay, it's this & then would change my mind & think NO it's this... This is a book that EVERYONE needs to read. This is my 2nd Paranormal read & I LOVED IT.. Where do I even begin? It's been a few days since I finished Tempt My Heart by Danielle Jamie. I needed a few days to get my thoughts together before writing this review and as I'm sitting here beginning to write my review, I'm thinking I may need a few more days.

Brittan McKenna's life was going great.  She was in college, engaged to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Cane Allen.  Then the unthinkable happened...9/11 happened and Cane dropped out of college to enlist in the military.  He felt a need and desire to fight for his country and his loved ones. But on his second tour in Iraq, Cane was killed in the line of duty and Brittan's life was turned upside down...and her heart died along with Cane.

Tempt My Heart starts out in the present with Brittan McKenna trying to move on with her life after losing the love of her life, Cane Allen. She has used sex, drugs and Rock N' Roll to try and  numb her pain of losing him. It would work during the moment...but then the pain was right back...full force.

Eight years after the death of Cane, Brittan meets Rocker/Guitarist, Jordan Valentine, from the band Tempting Tomorrow, who happens to be the opening act for her band, Beyond Redemption for their next tour.

Jordan is the lead guitarist for Tempting Tomorrow and is known for his notorious "bad boy" ways...and who happens to love the ladies. Different women every night is just how Jordan likes it. No way is he ever settling down...

UNTIL...

He meets sexy lead singer, Brittan McKenna of the famous rock group, Beyond Redemption. Jordan is immediately struck on Brittan.  The sexual connection between these two sky rocketed from their first encounter, throwing Brittan off kilter because she only had those kind of feelings once before and that was with her fiance, Cane.

Of course, Brittan fights those feelings and she can't figure out why she can't stop thinking about Jordan.  She tries sleeping with other guys because they're no emotions involved...to her it's just sex.  But when she starts visualizing Jordan instead of Cane, this throws her for a loop.  In her head this can't be happening...dang it...she loves Cane.  She can't be having those feelings for Jordan..hell no!!

So what does she do??? She fights her feelings and that is when I wanted to scream at her and say it's time to move on...It's been eight freaking years...Cane would want you to move on...SO MOVE THE HECK ON!!!   Look at what is right in front of you...a freaking sex god.  Dark hair and piercing blue eyes...and he wants you...GET OVER YOURSELF and move on...Well, thats what I kept saying over and over to her in my head while reading this...Shew, thank goodness she came to her senses.  ;)

I need to stop here before I give too much away.  I definitely recommend reading this book.  It was a sweet sweet read.  You will shed a few tears let me tell you, but it's well worth it. It may be a good idea to have a box of kleenex handy..just sayin'!!
