CAMI'S REVIEW~FINDING YOU by S.K. Hartley

I seriously LOVED this book! I'm always a sucker for the "we've grown up together and now I'm secretly in love with you" type of books! Especially when the character is a MAJOR player!!! Something about taming those bad boys that does me in.
Neva has known Logan forever, he's her brothers best friend and protector of her nightmares since her father died when they were young. But now they are in college and Logan is quite the ladies man around campus. But that doesn't stop Neva from crushing on him and wanting something that will never happen...Or so she thinks.
Logan has always noticed Neva, she just thought it was in the brotherly way. But that is definitely not the way he's looking.

Then there's Angel, he is also broken and stirs something in Neva. A bond of sorts that draws her in. But Angel doesn't want to protect Neva, he just wants her.
And when Logan finds Neva hanging with Angel boy oh boy do the sparks fly! Because Neva is starting to have feelings for Angel as well. I love a good love triangle!

Now I will tell you there were some "step away from the kindle" moments. While I liked Neva, I was pissed at her. I mean REALLY pissed!! Like the "I know who you should be with, you know who you should be with...why are you fighting it?!" kinda pissed.

I am not posting any spoilers in this review. I can't do it!! I loved this book and the surprise too much to give it away!
I know I say this a lot, but I seriously CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!
5 "Crazie" Stars!!!!

CAMI'S REVIEW~CARTER REED by Tijan

There are books and then there are Tijan's books!! If  you are looking for a dark, dangerous and damn good romance, you've just found it!  Oh and did I mention, MAFIA? Ha! I knew that would grab your attention ;)

After Emma comes home to find her roommates boyfriend raping her, she makes the decision to kill him. Now Emma and her roommate are on the run from the local mafia king, who also happens to be the father of the man she killed.
Not knowing where to go, she turns to the only man that will be able to protect her. Carter Reed, the rival mafia boss himself.

But did she make a mistake? He's now known as the Cold Killer. Gone is the boy she and her brother AJ grew up with.  The man that stands before her is cold, calculated and hard to read. Can she trust this new Carter? The only thought that keeps running through her mind are her brothers final words to her..."Go to Carter."
"You don't trust anyone, no one except Carter. Go to Carter. He'll take care of everything. He'll take care of you Em's. I promise."

Little does she know, Carter has been waiting for this moment. After AJ was killed, he decided to exact revenge on all of the people involved in his death. He also vowed to watch over Emma without her knowing it so she could lead a normal life.
Now time and circumstances have reunited this couple.

"You did all of that for me?"
"I would declare war for you." ~Carter

This book is one of the absolute best thriller/romance books I've read!
Carter......Oh Lordy! Carter Reed is one lethal character. I was so happy his POV was included throughout the book. I love when we get to see what goes through these guys minds. Carter came  across as sexy, confident and dangerous. Everything he should've been. He's perfect! And the way he is so fiercely protective of Emma is what really reeled me in.

Emma.... I think I loved Emma as much as I did Carter. It may be called Carter Reed, but I felt as though this was Emma's story. Even though she knew she needed Carter's help, she still came across strong and self reliant.
The sexual tension between these two was intense and their sex scenes were HOT!!
I hate to give away anymore than I already have. Just trust me when I say you will love this book! The twists and turns in the plot will keep you second guessing yourself and leery of some of the characters. I swear I was in Emma mode throughout the book...I wasn't sure who to trust either! A word to the wise..... Clear your schedule before you start.  This is without a doubt, a book you will not be able to put down!!

KIM'S REVIEW ~VERY BAD THINGS by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Born into a life of privilege and secrets, Nora Blakely has everything any nineteen-year-old girl could desire. She’s an accomplished pianist, a Texas beauty queen, and on her way to Princeton after high school. She’s perfect…

Leaving behind her million-dollar mansion and Jimmy Choos, she becomes a girl hell-bent on pushing the limits with alcohol, drugs, and meaningless sex.

Then she meets her soulmate. But he doesn’t want her.

When it comes to girls, twenty-five-year-old Leo Tate has one rule: never fall in love. His gym and his brother are all he cares about...until he meets Nora. He resists the pull of their attraction, hung up on their six year age difference.

As they struggle to stay away from each other, secrets will be revealed, tempers will flare, and hearts will be broken.

Welcome to Briarcrest Academy…where sometimes, the best things in life are Very Bad Things.

REVIEW.....

I was honored when Author Ilsa Madden-Mills offered me an ARC of her novel.  I had been anticipating this one for awhile now.  I watched and re-watched her video book trailer and knew right away that I was going to love this book and Leo Tate ;)  Not only did I love this book...I loved Leo & Nora.

Nora Blakley is GORGEOUS, RICH & she is an accomplished pianist. On the outside...she is PERFECT but on the inside she is dealing with a lot of demons. She decides she is tired of being the PERFECT friend, daughter etc...So she writes down a list of "VERY BAD THINGS" for her to do in her life to break that mold.

Nora had me right from the get go when she was first introduced. I love how she is the carefree spoiled rich girl on the outside... & I'm not usually a "fan" of  female characters in books like I am of the male characters...But boy did Nora reel me in...she reeled me in good.  I love how she can be sweet but I love her sassiness the most.

Leo Tate is HOTT...SIZZLING HOTT...with a SMOKIN' HOTT BROTHER (ahhh, Sebastian) ;) He is determined to take care of his little brother and get his "new" gym up and running.  His priorities don't include relationships with women.  He does not do COMMITMENT & he makes that loud and clear. He only dates with no strings attached. His priorities include making sure Sebastian has a great education so he enrolls him in the prestigious private school "Briarcrest Academy".

This is where Leo's life takes a dramatic turn. He is knocked for a loop when the feisty blonde, Nora, deliveries an EPIC speech at her school.  He CAN NOT stop thinking about her and this confuses him because he DOES NOT do relationships or even give any woman a second thought...except Nora.  He has a hard time with the age difference as well.  He is 25 and Nora is 19. The age difference does not bother Nora.

I don't want to give anything away so I'm going to stop before  I do.   All I know is that everyone needs to read this book. The writing of this book is spectacular && The chemistry between these two is too AMAZING to pass up.  I did not put this book down once I started it.  I was glued to my kindle....literally ;)

Ilsa Madden-Mills is a TALENTED-AMAZING AUTHOR. I CAN NOT WAIT to read more from her.

I give VERY BAD THINGS 5 CRAZIE STARS ~KIM

KIM'S REVIEW ~ TRAVIS (BUFFALO ROCK STARS SERIES) by N. Kuhn

Lots of people want to be Rock Stars, but the question is, can they handle it? Travis Dane has never wanted anything more than to be a Rock Star. He dreamed of being just like his father, Marcus. What the idol in his life never told him, is that the road to fame is paved with self destruction. Music, drugs, drinking, fighting and crazy stalkers all battle for his attention. Throw in an uncaring mother and Papararzzi following his every step is disaster waiting to happen.

Brittany Landers has never loved anyone like she did Trav. But his temper and drug use drove her into the arms of another man. Finally getting her life on track, striving for her law degree, can Aiden Bland take her mind off of Travis and what he’s going through? Or is he just Mr. Wrong Right Now? The emotional roller coaster of fame is never a Happily Ever After.

I had the privilege of reading the ARC for this book and was so excited because I love love love Rocker books. :)

Travis & Brittany are two characters that I could not get enough of. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I was going to connect with these characters, but low and behold....I connected!!!

Brittany is from a wealthy family where she has to work for her money. Most people who knew her felt she was a spoiled rich kid... including Travis. Brittany was far from spoiled. She was such a good heroine that I admired her. She was far from perfect and I loved that about her.

Travis is the son of a Famous Rocker Musician who never really played a role in Travis' life. Travis looks up to his father and shares the same love for music. His dream is to become a "ROCK STAR" just like DAD...and NOTHING is going to stand in the way of his dream.

Travis and Brittany deal with a lot of life situations including, love, break-up, drugs, alcohol and sex. Brittany gets her life in order per say while Travis goes down a dark dark path...to the point of hitting rock bottom. Brittany's so called friend/co-worker, betrays her and gets involved with Travis leading him down the road to self-destruction. The question is ...Can Travis be redeemed and break away from the train wreck he has become a part of? Can he forget his one true love?

Brittany, on the other hand, goes to college and gets her degree, she goes to law school, and gets involved with someone her parents approve of. The problem is that Brittany can't seem to forget the love of her life. Can she move on without Travis?

This book was a book that I could not put down once I got started reading. N. Kuhn did an AMAZING job keeping me glued to my kindle. There were times that I was so angry with these characters and wanted to scream...REALLY!!! & then there were times that I shedded a few tears. I love when I become so engrossed with a book that I don't want to put it down until I'm finished. This was one of those books. Read it and you will NOT be disappointed.

I give Travis 4 CRAZIE STARS!!!

CAMI'S REVIEW~LOVE ME BACK by Michelle Lynn

Looking for a book with a HEA and no cliffhanger?? Well here's your book!

Maddy Jennings has to go back. Back for her brothers wedding, back to the town she grew up in and back to face the one man she'd rather avoid. Trent Basso was Maddy's first. First love, first kiss, first everything. But that all changed after high school when they left for different colleges.
Trent's older brother Gabe has always been there for Maddy. Even when his baby brother decided to end his relationship with her. Gabe was the one to pick up the pieces, the one to always do right by his brother AND the one who has been secretly in love with his brothers girl. But Trent wants Maddy back in his life. And now that they are back home and all bets are off. The sexy Basso brothers declare Maddy fair game and in this game, it's....may the best man win!

After reading the synopsis of this book I knew I would love it! Nothing like a good love triangle to get the drama flowing. And then to find out its between two sexy brothers and a girl they grew up with! Oh my GAWD!
The family drama that accompanied this story had me torn up. One moment, I hated the mom and the next I was hoping for Maddy to try and forgive her. The way the story is told was unexpected, but in a good way! It takes you from present day, back to high school then continues to do that throughout the book so you are able to get a clearer picture as to what really went on in their pasts.
Ian, Maddy's best friend is a hoot! Everyone needs an Ian! I think what readers will love most, is the happy ending with no cliffy!

Love Me Back gets 4.5 "Crazie" stars!!! ~Cami

CAMI'S REVIEW~THE SPACE IN BETWEEN by Brittainy C. Cherry

She’s scarred by her past.

ANDREA EVANS is traumatized and guilt-ridden by the death of her fiancée. Tired of the gossiping small town, she travels to New York City to pursue her dream of dance.

He’s uncertain of his future.

COOPER DAVIDSON is a famous photographer and reality television star trying to flee from his own life filled with paparazzi, mental health clinics, and a cheating wife who is pregnant.

When Andrea and Cooper’s paths cross, they realize how damaged and in need of escapism they both are. The two create an arrangement to explore the space in between chaos and order with one another. The rules are simple—no emotional connections, no talking about the past, no speaking of the future, and when one finds order, the other walks away.

All is well until Cooper accidentally falls in love with Andrea.
I can only hope I will do this beautifully written story justice with my review....

From the first few pages I was instantly entranced with this authors writing style. The words flowed so freely and I was immediately drawn into the story.

Andie Evans is broken. And when I say broken, I mean cannot be put back together broken. After losing her fiancé, she's moved to New York with a friend to escape her small town and all of the pitying looks. Sorrow is eating her alive.

Cooper Davidson is broken as well. But his is of a different kind. He recently found out his wife is a cheating pregnant whore! (Sorry, I had to say it!) What better reason to have a mental breakdown in front an entire nation right?! The famous photographer is now trying to move on, but his "wife" has different plans for him.

What happens when these two broken people cross paths?

First of all let me just say, I normally go for the jealous, possessive, bad ass attitude type of heroes. Cooper is not that hero, and I STILL fell head over heels for him!! (And that's saying alot!) The understanding he gave to Andie as she worked through her issues was so admirable. Not to mention their awkward situation upon meeting, he never once judged her! It may have helped that they actually knew each other, but throughout the entire book, he made us well aware of his protectiveness. Oh, and there was still some jealousy going on ;) (swooning here!)

I absolutely adored Andie and how she placed "rules" on their "friendship". I will never hear the word "soda pop" again and not think of this book!! ;) The other thing I can say about Andie, is that I truly felt her pain and was so happy when she was able to overcome her past. I loved her bestie Ladasha!!! Not only did she add comedy to the story with her witty banter, but she also had a story of her own.

The title to this book is so deep and truly meaningful. As I was reading the part of the book that explains it (the title), I was thinking Wow!.....I never thought of it that way. And this only reaffirmed my first thought when I started the book. That this author has TRUE talent!

Towards the end there are MANY secrets revealed that will leave you speechless!! It was like watching all my favorite dramas rolled into one! Just when you think you've figured it out, you hit that upside down loop on the roller coaster. But guess what??? This story has a HEA!!! Woohoo!!

The Space In Between gets 5++"Crazie" stars!!!! ~Cami

CAMI'S REVIEW~MADE FROM GREATER STONE by RJ Simpkin

Synopsis:

Made from Greater Stone by RJ Simpkin is the first novel in the Stone Series. A story of passion, romance, glamour, and secrecy.

When graduate Olivia Bennett moves to Chicago she is thrust into a world sugar coated in feathers and crystals. This world is the world of Burlesque. It's during this time of discovery that she meets Nathan Stone, a handsome successful entrepreneur.

She finds herself drawn to him, in way she has never felt before. Convinced he is out of her league she tries to forget him. However Nathan has ideas of his own planned for the Burlesque starlet.

Olivia soon learns that her new life is not all rhinestones and sparkle. Nathan has skeletons in his closet; a dark past that threatens any future they may have together.

Wow! What a great debut novel from RJ Simpkin.

If you are like me and not familiar with the world of burlesque, you are going to be pleasantly surprised with this story...
Olivia finds herself in a new city living with her best friend Joseph after recently graduating from college. But without a lot of job prospects, she decides to rekindle her burlesque alter ego "Miss Honey Glaze" at a local nightclub.

From the moment "Honey" meets Nathan Stone she feels the oh so electrifying pull between them. What she doesn't realize is just how powerful and rich Mr. Stone is. Though Nathan does not "do" relationships, he soon finds himself wanting to protect and spend all of his free time with the beautiful burlesque dancer. But the secrets Nathan holds are keeping them from moving forward, and once those secrets are revealed Nathan and Honey have decisions to make.

I found this book to be very unique! Not many books out there with the burlesque theme to them. The "Brit" terminology was a little confusing. But overall, I REALLY enjoyed this book and the relationship between Nathan and Honey. His love and need to be with her was SWOONtastic! The premise reminded me of FSOG in a way...just with pastie tassels!

The ending had a HUGE cliffy!! But I loved it!! The shock factor was in full force, and I will definitely be reading the next book in the series to find out what happens to these characters. I mean, you can't leave me dangling on the edge and not expect me to try and pull myself up to see what happens next!
