KIM'S REVIEW~THE HURRICANE by R.J. Prescott

Title: The Hurricane
Series: 1st Book in Series
Author: R.J. Prescott
Release Date: February 1o, 2015
My Rating: 4.5 Stars
POV: Heroine

R.J. Prescott's debut...KNOCKOUT!!!

The Hurricane is a story about trust, love, family and friendship. It was refreshing, uplifting and invigorating, that once I started reading, I did not want to put it down. I was not expecting to love this book like I did...totally swept away.

Emily McCarthy(aka Sunshine) is broken and living in fear from her deplorable past.  She's working full time while attending college and barely making it. She's so strong and determined not to give up until she's made a better life for herself.  She wants to stay secluded and just get through college...

Until she comes face to face with the hottest guy she's ever seen...

Cormac "Con" "The Hurricane" O'Connell is an ambitious fighter who is on the rise in the boxing world. He's a  protective, tatted, sexy, carnal, alpha male who will make you swoon.  He had me at the prologue!!

Emily and Con started out as friends, and we as readers get to follow them along on their journey to fall in love.

Con was so protective of Emily and his love for her was so natural for him...you could just feel it every time he looked at her.

There was no denying the chemistry amongst them. It was like you were right there watching it unfold.

That's what I absolutely loved and craved about their story. Yes, the attraction was instant but their love blossomed exactly as it should have...

"If you need time, then I’ll give you time.

If you need friendship, then I’ll give you friendship.

But you’re mine, and when the time is right, when you’re ready, I’m coming for you."

The Hurricane is an inspirational story of survival and healing. The secondary characters were perfect. R.J. Prescott does an amazing job with her debut novel.  I can't wait to read more from this author.

I give The Hurricane 4.5 Crazie Stars!! ~Kim
