CAMI'S REVIEW~DOUBLE BLIND by Vanessa Waltz

I'll admit, while I was super excited for this sequel to Adriana and Vince's story, I did have some trepidation going into it. Like most sequels, Im always hoping they will continue to wield that magical power and keep me as intrigued as I was with the first book. I'm happy to say that Ms. Waltz did not disappoint! I was along for the intriguing thrill ride all the way to the end!

Adriana thinks she and Vince have cleared the way and only have the future to look forward to now. But Vince knows differently. He knows the war with the rival family, the Rizzos can't carry on and they need to find a way to make peace. Only he doesn't realize it may cost him his future.
When Adriana is approached by the Rizzos she has a choice to make. Work for them or risk both her mother and Vince's mother being killed. Oh and one other small detail.....break off the engagement with Vince and break his heart first. Yikes!!

This is one of the best mafia romance stories I've read in a long time.
It definitely left all the 'cheesiness' and stereotypes at the door. Even though it can be dark and sometimes disturbing, it has great angst, drama, romance, murder, lies and deceit. Everything you'd imagine a good mafia story to have.

If you're a fan of dark romantic mafia stories this book is calling your name! Highly recommend!

KIM'S REVIEW ~ WHISKEY PRINCE by Toni Aleo

I was so excited to get my hands on this book after reading the blurb and being such a huge fan of Toni Aleo, I knew it would be good and boy was I right.

Whiskey Prince is a sweet sweet love story that grabbed me from the start. It begins with Amberlyn losing her mother to cancer and her entire world crashing down.  Now, she is parentless because she had lost her father years ago and hasn't fully recovered from his death.

Amberlyn didn't get to enjoy being young and carefree and get to experience all the joys of being a teenager because she had been the caregiver for her mother during her illness, leaving her inexperienced in the world. Her mom, knowing this,  left Amberlyn a letter asking her to fulfill three things for her. And in order to do this, she needed to move to Ireland with her aunt and uncle which is her father's hometown.

Amberlyn was reluctant but she honored her mother's wishes and off to Ireland she went.  She got a job working at her aunt and uncles pub along side her cousin, Fiona, who became a huge part of Amberlyn's life. They were like sisters.  I loved the chemistry these two had.

Amberlyn is really liking Ireland and she feels she made the right decision in moving there.

Then...

She sees him ;)  Declan O'Callaghan...The Whiskey Price of Ireland, the heir to one of the largest wine distilleries in the world. But...Declan has a problem you see, his dad wants him to get married and is pretty much giving him a ultimatum or the distilleries will go to his sisters fiance. That's the way it has been and that's the way his father wants it to continue to be.  Declan doesn't want to just marry someone to get what's rightfully his, he wants to find true love.

“I want a girl that loves me for me, not because I am the Whiskey Prince of Ireland.”

With the pressure on to find a wife, Declan has refused to settle and I love that about him. While fishing with his best friend, Kane, Declan sees Amberlyn from across the lake and is immediately drawn to her. He has this desire and need inside of him that he has to get to know her and he seeks out to do just that.

"I watch her for another minute as Kane chuckles beside me. I have the urge to know her…I want to know why she is here and not back in America. I want to know everything, but most of all, I want to find out what color her eyes are and get lost in them. I want to learn her name and then whisper before dropping my lips to hers. I want, no, I need, to know her."

"I know this girl is special and at this moment, I feel more like a king than a prince. And she is my queen."

Soon, Declan and Amberlyn get to know one another and start spending time together.Their feelings for one another can not be denied. Their chemistry is right on but there are obstacles and bumps in their path along the way.

"I want to get lost in her kisses, I want to get tangled in the sheets, I want to feel her..."

Will Declan and Amberlyn be able to overcome those obstacles in their path? Or will those obstacles tear them a part for good?

I really liked this book but I did feel like it was missing something. I needed more. That's why I'm giving it 3.5 Stars. With that being said, it's still a good good read. I would recommend this book to everyone and I'm so glad I met Declan...Ahhh, swoon!! ;)

I give Whiskey Prince 3.5 Crazie Stars!!

CAMI'S REVIEW~FINDING US by S.K. Hartley

"I'm loud, I'm proud and I like to bust balls in my spare time."

OMG! Willow Knox is my new fictional girl crush!

After finishing Finding Me I was SO pumped to figure out WTH was going on with Low and Tate!
For six long years, Low has been harboring a secret. Running from her past and lying to her closest friends and boyfriend Tate.
Now she has to choose to once again run, or stay and face the dangers (and I mean DANGERS) from her past.

Willow is so badass, and with an attitude to match! She also possesses the skills to back up that attitude when fate and family come knocking.
Tate......hot, sexy, alpha Tate. He is so caring and patient. His love, devotion, and the lengths he goes to for Low are just.....ahhhhh!!

I will say, that I had to ask myself how on earth Tate was not jealous of Low's friendship with Ace?! Dear god that man is HOT!! I swear, if I had a friend as hot as Ace, my boyfriend( hypothetically speaking of course since I'm married, lol ) would have to be jealous!

But rest assured ladies, Tate makes it known that Low is his woman and his alone! (Swoon) Gotta love those alpha males!

Like in my previous reviews of the Bad Boy series I am not posting any spoilers in the review. I can't do it!! S.K's books have so many surprises in them and keep you guessing until the very end!

Now, even though this can be read as a standalone I still HIGHLY recommend that you read the first two books in the series so you can get to know a little about Low and Tate, but mainly because they're just so damn good!

Without a doubt, I give Finding Us 5 "Crazie" good Stars!!!!

CAMI'S REVIEW~PIECES OF US by Pamela Ann

Finally!!! I finally found some time to reconnect with my main man Greyson!

Everyone knows my love for Pamela Ann's writing style. I crave the angst she brings to the story and her characters always have a way of making me immediately fall in love with them.

We now find Liv brokenhearted and back in Australia with Liam after attending the wedding of Grey and Edith. Liam is determined to get her back and trying to seduce her out of her loneliness. Liv does decide to go back for Christmas, but once there she is tortured by the intimacy of the newlywed couple.

Of course Edith is her same manipulative evil self throughout the story and as much as I love Grey, he did piss me off a bit.

What ensues is a love/hate relationship until a dramatic event causes Grey to realize how much Liv means to him.

Now, I was left with questions at the end and there may have been a certain someone I was hoping would get more backlash than they got. But with that being said, I loved the angst, I loved the writing style and I loved the story!

CAMI'S REVIEW ~ FAITHFUL by Louise Bay

Faithful by Louise Bay 4 "Crazie" good Stars!!

What a great debut novel by author Louise Bay!

Leah Thompson has it all, a wealthy boyfriend that just proposed, a good job and great friends. So why is she feeling less than thrilled and looking up an old crush online? Not expecting more than a few harmless messages between friends Leah is surprised when Daniel responds flirtatiously. She soon finds herself looking forward to the messages more than she should and Daniel makes it clear he is interested in being more than just friends. Suddenly Leah has a fiancé showing no love and an old crush hot on her tail. Now this is where the fun begins!! Daniel Armatage is one hot, persistent piece of eye candy! Towards the beginning I quickly found myself asking "Charlie who?"

There is so much more to this story than meets the eye. Ol Charlie boy isn't exactly the type of guy he leads you to believe he is. Then throw into the mix Leah's friends and the new 'friendship' with Daniel. Yikes! It makes for a VERY interesting read with loads of hot and heart melting moments! Daniel is definitely my type of guy! Possessive and caring all wrapped up in one big sexy package! I did find the ending a bit rushed. But this is one book I would without a doubt recommend because once Daniel gets in your system he's a hard one to let go! I anxiously await Ms. Bay's next book Hopeful!!

KIM'S REVIEW ~ FIVE MILES by Lili St. Germain

My heart is pounding...it's pounding so hard that I feel like it may jump out of my chest. It's ridiculous that this series is all I can think about right now.  Lili St. Germain, what have you done to me?  You've made me love raw and gritty.  Dang it!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Five Miles starts off pretty much where  Six Brothers left off and Dornan is on the war path.  A path I would definitely stay away from...but not Julz.  Nope, she is high on adrenaline right now...Two brothers down and 4 brothers to go...and of course big daddy Dornan is on that list too.

Each novella just keeps getting better and better and right when you think you may be figuring it out, BAM...the author throws you for a loop...literally!!

Dornan is going crazy with the loss of two of his sons.  He thinks he knows who's responsible so he is ready to strike.  Nothing is holding him back.

This is where I'm on the edge of my seat and I can not put this book down.  I've devoured each one of these books. I'm starving and I can't stop my cravings.  DANG IT!

The stress seems to be getting to Julz. Don't get me wrong she is still bad-ass but I think everything that's been going down is starting to settle in with her and the reality of the situation is brutal.

"It's almost like I'm dying...little by little; piece by piece.

Burnt out, shattered, breaking apart under the weight of my lies-and I still have five to go."

Her saving grace is Jase and Elliott, but at the same time, they're causing her more stess.  Without them though, I worry about Julz.  She is riding down a dark and dangerous road with no going back...So, how long can she keep this charade up? Is Jase on to her?  If so, will he be able to forgive her?

We get more of Elliott and Julz as well as Julz and Jase in this book.  And oh my...my heart breaks for Julz, Elliott and my sweet sweet Jase.

I feel liked I'm being chased and I'm about to get caught.  I'm a nervous wreck.  I must stop here because I'm ready to give away too much.  With it being a novella, it's hard not to give too much away.

This book did not disappoint.  Each one keeps getting better and better. And the end of this book, will do a number on you.  Thank goodness Four Score is out...Not sure I could have waited.

I love this series...I love it hard.  I'm nervous about starting Four Score and I know once I'm finished, I'll have to wait until July for Three Years.  Ugh.

I definitely recommend this series.

I give Five Miles 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim

KIM'S REVIEW ~ SIX BROTHERS by Lili St. Germain

"To be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it." ~Confucius

"I would never forget.  And so, for me, being wronged was everything." ~Sammi/Juliette

Oh my!!! I must say that Lili St. Germain has me hooked! Wow!!! This series is really twisted...Some serious messed up shit. But I can't get enough. I'm anxious, my hearts racing and I feel like I'm siting on pins and needles the entire time that I'm reading. I feel like I'm going to be sick at times, so I get up and walk away, but my mind is constantly thinking of this dang book and I have to get right back to reading. So I'm thinking...am I twisted? HECK YES, I AM!

There isn't a whole lot I can say without giving too much away, so this review is going to be hard. But if you loved Seven Sons, OMG...You're really going to love Six Brothers. I was worried about how Sammi was going to pull off  her next revenge plot without causing suspicion on her...But dang it, she did it and she did it good.  Brilliance...pure brilliance!!!

"Some people would call me a whore. A girl who sold her soul to the devil. Who let him inside her, with no remorse. Who danced with the monster who destroyed everything. To those people, I say only this: I didn’t have to sell Dornan Ross my soul. He already owned it. And once I’ve killed him, maybe I can get it back."

~Meet Dornan Ross~

Dornan Ross is a MONSTER...he's an evil evil man who appears to be falling in love with Sammi.  But even love doesn't keep him from harming her. I'm not sure if he would ever harm any of his son's, because his love for them seems genuine and unconditional.  He  takes their death hard like any parent would. But he wouldn't blink an eye to slit the throat of a woman he may love, especially if she betrays him.  And Sammi got another little taste of what that monster will do. He is one sick man!!! I'm a nervous wreck the entire time Sammi is in his presence.

"You'd never betray me, would you, Sammi?"

"Never," I lie.

Then we have Jase...Oh how I love him!

We get a little taste of the love that Jase and Sammi once shared and my heart breaks for him...for her.  It's getting harder and harder the more she is around him to control her feelings for him...he's still the man she once loved...still loves. But she knows in order to pull off her plans of revenge on Dornan and his son's that she can't let herself go there. And, what if she does go there and confesses all to Jase...would he protect her or would he warn his father? I know in my heart that he would protect her.  He loathes his father and brothers...at least I hope he does.

The more we get to know Jase, the more I love him.  He's nothing like his evil father and brothers.  NOTHING!!

“She was my girl,” he says, and I can feel myself breaking apart inside under the weight of his words. “She was my everything.”

This book was just as raw, gritty and gruesome as the first book. The suspense is really getting to me.  I can't wait to see how this all plays out.  Being in Sammi's head is WHACKED!!! It's like watching a movie...watching it all play out. Her plotting is brilliant...pure genius.

Two down. Five to go.

and the story continues...

I give Six Brothers 5 Crazie Stars!!! ~Kim
