The Truth About Him is the 2nd book in the Everything I left Unsaid Series and is told in both Dylan and Annie's POV. It's a story that will enrapture you. It's full of uncertainty, love and promise.
Dylan and Annie are two battered souls that happened to cross paths in Everything I Left Unsaid. They're both dealing with their past and concealing the roughness that lives within them.
Annie seems to have found herself in The Truth About Him and I love it. I loved her character and how strong she became, even though she felt precarious and unsteady at times.
Dylan, what can I say about him? I loved his character. He's a beautiful scarred soul with issues that he needs to resolve within himself and his past before he can move forward into the future. Dylan felt Annie deserved better than him, but Annie stood her ground and never gave up.
"But Annie deserved someone good. And I used to think I could be the guy to give it to her. But it looked like that was only a dream."
"You. You are what is different. You have changed everything."
I loved the character development in this book and how we got a deeper look into Dylan and Annie's past. I loved the secondary characters (Ben and Max). I'm hoping Max will get his own book. I feel like there is a lot of story there. I felt drawn to him from his first introduction.
The Truth About Him is about forgiveness, redemption and healing. Overall, I loved the suspense in this book and I enjoyed how the drama unfolded. I definitely recommend this series. It's has a dark tendency and will hold your attention until the very end. I was a little disappointed with the ending though. It felt rushed to me, but maybe I was just wanting more.
